I LOVED IT! I don't know why this isn't a more popular dish! the whole family loved it. I didn't have 1/2 & 1/2 on hand so I used my 1% milk, I creamed it in the blender then put it back in the pot and added only 1 cup cheese... GREAT sauce, I added a lot of hot sauce so it wasn't bland at all. I also used chicken that I slow boiled with olive oil and lots of spices. then shredded it on the toast.... WOW, so yummy!!! Chef John is a great chef in my book! oh I did one tweak, substituted pumpkin seeds for the walnuts for allergy reasons and it was a great sub! This was way ouy of my box on pork chops....the only problem is they were gone before I could take a picture. love, love LOVE the flavor!!
