Sourpuss

This soup turned out AWESOME, just exactly as written. I like it with lots of lime juice, fresh cilantro, and a little dollop of sour cream on top. I will definitely make this again! Even the kids liked it.

This was very good, but could be better still. I used a whole onion, Worcestershire instead of soy sauce and beef broth instead of chicken, and stirred in the noodles when adding. Next time I will add more garlic and salt. DO NOT ADD FLOUR UNTIL VERY END OF COOKING! It can be dangerous to add thickeners prior to the pressure cooking stage. Wait until after the pressure cooking is done, then add the thickener and use saute setting to cook down the sauce a little.

This turned out very bland. Next time I would add a bunch of garlic and some other seasonings. I ended up adding cumin and garlic powder, along with salt and pepper, to salvage my finished soup. It's a good base, it just needs more pizzazz.

Overall I liked this, but I would make some changes next time: more beets, less of all the other vegetables, more broth, less vinegar. I really want the beets to be front and center, and in this recipe as written, it's more balanced between the flavors. That's not a bad thing, it's just not what I want from borscht.

I really liked this, but I'm giving it four stars because I made some small changes - I used fresh baby portabella mushrooms instead of canned. I also used Better Than Bouillon and omitted the corn starch. I would definitely make this again!

This was delicious! I added fresh thyme to the filling, as suggested in another review. Other than that I followed the recipe as written. Thinking about other places I could use this stuffing mixture!
