I used a rotisserie chicken, frozen peas instead of canned, added red pepper and extra garlic. Followed the advice of others to just plop big spoonfuls of the biscuit mix on top - turned out great and was even great the next day (I thought it might get mushy). I made extra of the chicken/veggie mixture and threw it in the freezer to use over refrigerator biscuits for an easy future meal. Delicious, fresh and healthy - nice to find a casserole recipe that does NOT include canned soup. We loved it - thanks. I am so happy I found this recipe - it was easy to make and just as delicious as at the restaurant. We both give it a big THUMBS UP for a warm winter meal. Bonus that its super easy and quick. We had two cups of seeds so I upped the butter a bit and upped the salt even more - used garlic salt instead of Mortons. I learned from others that it is VERY important to keep your single layer single in order to get the nice toasty seeds - and even then, ours took a longer than 45 minutes on two cookie sheets. We just watched until they were toasty brown - and they are SO DELICIOUS! Thanks and happy Halloween! I followed advice of others and used 2 cups beef broth and one cup water; also two packages of Italian dressing mix. My butcher suggested a chuck roast as it shreds more easily for sandwiches. Slow cooked it and served with optional provolone cheese, thin-sliced red onion, mustard/mayo sauce and horseradish. Buy really good fresh rolls. Soooo yummy and sooo easy - THANKS! I followed the advice of a few others and used one half cup of half-and-half instead of heavy cream, and added one half cup of vodka. Sprinkled it with fresh parmesan after serving - delicioso! I made mine the night ahead up until the point where you add cream and vodka. Took it out of the fridge the next evening (I think it was even tastier for the extra time!), added the cream and vodka and hot pasta. Super easy prep for a great meal! Will definitely make again.
