I felt the batter was a little too thick, so I just added a tad more milk which is the standard for regulating the thickness. I used half gluten free flour. They turned out nice and fluffy, tangy and flavorful. Butter and real maple syrup add just the right balance for tangy and sweet. Will definitely make these again. Helpful (2) Chewy Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies 12/27/2018 This is a great recipe! Lately I've been cutting down on sugar so I did use a tiny bit less sugar. I also used natural peanut butter with no sugar added. I substituted milk chocolate chips and peanut butter chips, I did half of each for the total amount. I measured them by the drop spoonfuls and baked for 9 minutes per someone else's suggestion. They are really good! I found that there wasn't enough of the bread crumb mixture to coat both of the tomatoes, so I added another 1/2 of what the recipe called for to the mixture. I also added garlic powder and used cayenne pepper instead of black pepper because I love the warmth of it. I used almond milk instead of cows milk, just depends on your preference. I will definitely make these again, thank you. Helpful (0) Mom's Fish Chowder 03/13/2018 I thought it was a great simple recipe, very tasty. The only thing, I used haddock which is all I had, a can of condensed cream of celery since I also didn't have condensed milk. I added some shredded carrot for color and seasoned it with some thyme and dill as well as a few shakes of cayenne pepper in addition to the salt and pepper. The recipe is so simple that it allows room for you to experiment. Thanks so much! Helpful (1) Homemade Mac and Cheese 07/12/2015 Great basic recipe that you can alter to suit your own tastes by adding more spices, different cheeses or milk, etc. Real butter is the best and low fat cheese is another option.
