I'm originally from Hawai‘i and currently live in New York City.

My journalism and essays have appeared in the New York TimesT, New York, The Believer, VICE, Guernica, Vanity Fair, Gossamer, Into The Gloss, Los Angeles Review of Books, among other publications.

I completed my MFA in Creative Nonfiction at Hunter College. My essay “In the Mood for Love” was selected as runner-up in the 2022 Sewanee Review nonfiction contest by judge Lisa Taddeo.

I’m currently the Editorial Director for Four One Nine and EADEM. I’m (slowly) writing a book about my father’s family’s immigration from Hong Kong to Hawai‘i.
