British PM Keir Starmer to sign '100-Year Partnership' with Kyiv

ALBAWABA - British Prime Minister Keir Starmer landed in the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv, AFP reported on Thursday citing an official.

Associated Press revealed that Starmer is in Kyiv to ink a "100-Year Partnership" treaty in Kyiv, in various fields including defense, science, energy and trade with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

AP further noted that since the start of the war between Russia and Ukraine, the UK has been one of Kyiv's key supporters with about $16 billion in military and civilian aid to Ukraine.

Furthermore, Starmer is expected to reveal extra ($49 million) for Ukraine’s post-war economic recovery. In addition, Britain trained over 50,000 Ukrainian soldiers.
