Accounts Payable Specialist – Accounting & Finance

AHCA/NCAL is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to improve lives by delivering solutions for quality care by performing accounts payable and other accounting functions for AHCA/NCAL and affiliated entities.

Qualifications & Skills:
1-2 years of Accounts Payable experience preferred. Certification or proficiency in Accounts Payable processing a plus. 1-3 years of office experience. Outstanding computer skills.  

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Receive invoices, credit memos, payment requests and travel reimbursements for processing.
  • Input or import A/P vouchers into PN3 Accounts Payable system.  
  • Monitor payables mailbox to ensure invoices are uploaded to automated payables system.  Apply company policies to verify vendor invoices & member reimbursements and determine appropriate routing through automated payables system.  
  • Review and verify PN3 items for proper amount, documentation, coding, authorization, and adherence to Organization policies.
  • Utilize Excel spreadsheets to capture financial data for importing into the automated payables system and to calculate/set up entries for Great Plains software
  • Apply company policies and IRS guidelines to set up new vendor files in Great Plains software, including obtaining W-9, if required, EFT information, and payment terms.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Clinical Care Manager  – Integrated Networks

AHCA/NCAL is seeking a Clinical Care Manager to improve lives by delivering solutions for quality care by providing quality & clinical support to members of AHCA/NCAL Solutions Provider Owned Networks.

Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor’s degree required. Clinical training or quality improvement training required. Minimum five years’ work experience in healthcare setting, post-acute/long term care preferred. Experience in an association or other membership organization preferred. Must live in Iowa, Nebraska or Minnesota. 

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Staff network quality committees, including developing agendas, facilitating discussions and ensuring member engagement to facilitate achievement of Network goals.
  • Develop and lead strategies, initiatives and projects to improve how care is delivered and measured within network members.
  • Develop and lead quality improvement initiatives that improve quality outcomes and performance in state provider networks with a focus on value-based managed care contracts.
  • Identify, develop and oversee efforts to measure adherence to quality program requirements by individual networks, which may include clinical protocols, quality measurement, or other requirements.
  • Provide network members with the information, tools and resources to become more clinically integrated and comply with network quality program and quality contracts. 
  • Provide in-person training and educational sessions on topics of importance to network members. 
  • Travel required.

Director of Government Relations

AHCA/NCAL is seeking a Director of Government Relations to improve lives by delivering solutions for quality care by serving as a representative of the Association’s positions and policies before the U.S. Congress, the executive branch, regulatory bodies, other organizations, and coalitions.

Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor’s degree plus minimum of 5 years related experience in government affairs, health or public policy related field. Extensive relationships with Members of Congress, their staffs, Administration officials and health care policy personnel. Experience managing complex issues.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Serve as a key member of the AHCA/NCAL Government Relations Team:
  • Lobby for the political positions of the Association. Results include passage of favorable legislation as well as defeating legislation detrimental to the sector.
  • Develop relationships with Members of Congress, senior staff, key executive branch officials, state officials and/or government relations representatives from other groups to foster access to the policymaking process and the understanding of complex issues.
  • Represent AHCA/NCAL within Washington, DC health care policy community
  • Other duties as assigned.

Summer Intern – National Center for Assisted Living

AHCA/NCAL is seeking a Summer Intern to help further the organization’s mission to improve lives by delivering solutions for quality care. This role will support the assisted living team and profession in various ways, including providing direct support to specific profession-wide programs as well as researching various aspects of the senior living sector.

Qualifications & Skills:
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree. Office experience strongly preferred. Outstanding computer skills. Research skills such as literature reviews and the ability to summarize information. Experience with policy analysis a plus.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Research and synthesize current and proposed assisted living legislation in various states.
  • Draft documents and materials for review.
  • Assist with various aspects of NCAL’s Quality Programs.
  • Assist with various aspects of National Assisted Living Week (NALW).
  • Research assisted living organizations and leadership teams across the country.
  • Other duties as assigned.
The internship will last for eight weeks starting after the Memorial Day Holiday and pays $20/hour.
