Mat-Su Birders is a local wild bird club in the beautiful Matanuska-Susitna Valleys in Alaska. Mat-Su Birders formed in January 1999. Founded in 1940, the Monterey Audubon Society is a volunteer organization dedicated to conserving and celebrating the birds and wildlife of the greater Monterey Bay region. Tehachapi Mountains Birding Club serves birders in the southern Sierras community of Tehachapi. Connecticut

Connecticut Ornithological Association (COA) Founded in 1981, the Connecticut Ornithological Association is an all volunteer organization with the mission of promoting interest in Connecticut birds, and collecting, preparing, and disseminating the best available scientific information on the status of Connecticut birds and their habitats. COA is the only statewide organization devoted to birds and birding in Connecticut. Lahontan Audubon Society (LAS) was founded in December 1963 by Fred Ryser, John Davis, and Marge Sill.  LAS started the Truckee Meadows Christmas Bird Count  that same year, and has collected over 50 years of data for that original count circle, as well as creating several other area Christmas Bird Count circles.

The Great Basin Bird Observatory is a non-profit organization of scientists dedicated to furthering bird conservation in the Great Basin and adjoining regions.

New Jersey

North Carolina

Blue Ridge Audubon Chapter serves Buncombe, Henderson and parts of other surrounding counties near Asheville, NC. Hilton Pond Center for Piedmont Natural History Non-profit based near York. South Dakota

Sioux Falls Bird Club. An organization founded to promote the enjoyment, study, and conservation of wild birds in The Sioux Falls region.

South Dakota Ornithologists’ Union. Founded in 1949, SDOU has been South Dakota’s primary statewide organization to promote the study of wild birds, to encourage ornithological research, and to preserve the state’s avian records. Tennessee

Houston Audubon

Texas Ornithological Society TOS was founded in 1953 as a nonprofit organization. ABC Birding is a birding club starting up in Tacoma, WA.
