The Writing Center offers one-to-one and group consultations in a variety of modalities to help writers gain skills to feel more confident and prepared on all writing projects.
About Us
The Writing Center is free for all UNLV students, faculty, and staff. Our consultants work with writers at all levels and across all academic disciplines. If you are stuck on something you are writing, even if you haven’t started writing yet, schedule an appointment. You might want to try out a few consultants until you find one that you really like working with.
Hours of Operation
Note: The Writing Center is closed for all university holidays.
In-Person Consultations Hours
- Monday - Thursday: 9:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
- Friday: 9:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
Virtual Consultation Hours
- Monday - Thursday: 2 p.m. - 7 p.m.
- Friday: 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
- Sunday: 12 p.m. - 5 p.m.
OWL Hours
Submissions will be accepted Sunday - Friday. Please refer to our OWL submission schedule for our submission acceptance and return times.
