Kierra Valencia "Kiki" Sheard (born June 20, 1987 in Detroit, Michigan) is an Americangospel singer and radio host. She is the daughter of gospel singer Karen Clark Sheard (member of gospel singing group The Clark Sisters) and the granddaughter of gospel choral director Mattie Moss Clark. Sheard portrayed Litha in the 2010 Christian-drama-film Preacher's Kid. After appearing on her mother's albums, Sheard broke to the music scene with the release of her debut album I Owe You in 2004. Her hit single "You Don't Know", was written about her mother's bout with an almost fatal blood clot.
Early life
Born in Detroit, Michigan, and raised in the suburb of West Bloomfield, Sheard spent her formative years surrounded by the influences of her family, their faith, and their music. At age 6, she began singing in the choir at Greater Emmanuel Institutional Church of God in Christ, pastored by her father Bishop J. Drew Sheard. Even at a young age, Sheard had a preternatural grip on the signature "Clark sound" pioneered by her mother and aunts, executing high and fast melismata, riffs, runs, and deep, throaty growls sometimes referred to as "squalls" (the latter is prominently displayed on "Done Did It", a traditional gospel leaning track from her album I Owe You).
You Don't Know is the debut single by gospel artist Kierra "Kiki" Sheard. The song was chosen as the lead single for Sheard's debut project, I Owe You. The song was specifically written and produced for Sheard by Rodney Jerkins for Darkchild Productions.
Song information
In 2001 Kierra's mother, Karen Clark-Sheard, was faced with a life-threatening crisis when a blood vessel burst during a scheduled hernia surgery. Her doctors only gave her a 2% chance of survival due to her complications. After the blood clot was surgically removed, Clark-Sheard fell into a coma. The coma lasted for weeks, but she made a miraculous recovery. Clark-Sheard's near-death experience is said to have inspired "You Don't Know".
Chart performance
"You Don't Know" managed to crack the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip Hop singles list at number 84 and is one of the few singles by the artist to even chart while her full length albums generally have charted well.
"You Don't Know " is a 1961 single by Helen Shapiro. It was written by John Schroeder and Mike Hawker and released on the Columbia (EMI) label in the United Kingdom on 29 June 1961. "You Don't Know" topped the UK Singles Chart for three weeks beginning on 10 August. The single sold over a million copies and earned Shapiro a gold disc.
In Japan, where Shapiro's version also became popular in 1962, the song was covered in Japanese by Mieko Hirota, who had also covered Shapiro's earlier hit "Don't Treat Me Like a Child."
Allmusic called this song "the excellent all-star single "You Don't Know" plus highlight by same critic. B. Love was positive: "When Em snatches the mic and takes the lead on songs like the title track, "You Don't Know" (which everyone just rips), he makes a strong case for his claim to be the tightest emcee in the game" and he added: "Em isn't the only one sounding hungry again; Fif is sounding better than he has since his debut. (...) Its batting lead off on the aforementioned posse cut "You Don't Know." Sputnik Music favorably described that EM is "pulling out superb beats for "You Don't Know." RapReviews noted that 2 new rappers Bobby Creekwater and Cashis can be heard in following lyrics: ""Pistol play ricochet, see where the victim lay
Slumped over bleeding J.F.K.
A.K. 'til your chest plate cave
I'll ride to the death, do you rep that way?
Forever I'ma be a Shady 7-4 gangsta
Plus I'll survive everything you got in that chamber
I thrive off of danger, jumpin in all beef
You keep talking shit now the squad called me"
The Guardian thought that Eminem lost creativity but the song was praised: "Eminem's production is barely more inspiring than his talent-spotting. He's been working from the same murky sonic palette since The Marshall Mathers LP: portentous gothic dirges thick with grumbling strings and minor-chord synthesizers. That formula is fiercely potent on You Don't Know, leavened by 50 Cent's sing-song chorus..." Stylus Magazine was negative: "Or as he (EM) puts it: “Hands on my head / Touch knees to elbows / I’m hunched over, emotionless / Flow’s over / These cold shoulders are both frozen / You don’t know me.” Save it for Oprah."

Kierra Sheard You don't know with lyrics
This is such a good song. It is very insperational! God Bless!
lyrics:
VERSE 1
I can remember my mother told me
Don't let no one speak for me
When it comes down to His blessings
No one can give Him praise for me but me
CHANNEL
Just trust God
He'll always come through for you
Yes He will (I know, I know that)
I believe, cause my eyes have seen what
Miracles He can do, mountains that He can move
All things are possible through Him
I'm tellin you!
CHORUS
You don't know
The blessings that He's given me, you don't know
Like I know
Even if I had a thousand tongues, I'd need more
You should know
What He's done for me, He can do for you
You can tell it, let me tell you
What the Lord has done for me!
CHORUS 2
Now let me tell you 'bout what He did for my mother
