Worcestershire Beacon + Summer Hill & Sugarloaf Hill (Malvern Hills) - Worcestershire Hill Walks
Worcestershire Beacon (425m) is Worcestershire's County Top. It's incredibly popular, and for good reason, as it commands the landscape and has superb 360 degree views. This walk starts at The Wyche Cutting and ends just north of Sugarloaf Hill. It includes Summer Hill and Sugarloaf Hill.
A couple of drone shots were incorporated into this film, but the drone took off and landed from outside of the land controlled by The Malvern Hill Conservators, and at all times complied with CAA requirements.

103km XC Worcester Beacon - Phi Maestro
Sunday 2nd of May 2021 we headed to the Malvern Hills and took off from Worcester Beacon.
After a rough take off and climb out we reached over 6000ft feet in a blue hole before pressing on over the M5. For the first 30km we flew together, but then separated.
In the middle of the flight the cloud cover increased and it became very tough to stay up. Fortunately near Banbury I found a good climb which gave me confidence to push on.
After Banbury (approx 70km) the cloud cover dissipated and the climbs got a little stronger. After 4 and a half hours I made the goal field just outside Milton Keynes.

I went paragliding at Worcestershire Beacon on the Malvern Hills, this morning, 5th Feb 2020. I hadn't been paragliding for many weeks.
I got my brake through my lines on turning round again. I must learn to swap the brakes before launching.
I didn't assess which was the slow beat for the bottom side landing and went with my pre-planned aproach which turned out to be the fast beat. I scratched my ankle and harness on the brambles.
I am trying out my home made vario, see here: https://github.com/danheeks/vario
Video done on CamPark ACT76. With a 3D printed mount holding a 3000mAh Energizer Power Pack. I need to try something fluffy over the mic holes, the wind noise is awful.
