Wollaston is a rapid transit station on the MBTARed Line, located at the intersection of Beale Street and Newport Avenue in Quincy, Massachusetts. It serves Quincy's Wollaston neighborhood. It was opened in September 1971 as the second of three stations in the original South Shore Extension, replacing a mainline rail station which had been located there from 1845 to 1959.As of 2015, Wollaston is the only Red Line heavy rail station that is not wheelchair accessible, but planning is underway for a major renovation.
The Old Colony Railroad opened through Quincy in November 1845. Several local stations were located in Quincy, including Wollaston station (also known as Wollaston Heights) at Beale Street. In 1877, a large station with a clock tower was built on the west (inbound) side of the tracks. The Old Colony switched from English-style left-hand running to American-style right-hand running in 1893 when it was acquired by the New York, New Haven and Hartford Railroad; the depot was moved to the east side of the tracks in 1895.
Wollaston is a relatively small lunar impact crater located in the Oceanus Procellarum. To the northwest is the similar Nielsen. To the southeast is the somewhat larger Krieger. There are several small rilles to the southwest of Wollaston, forming part of the Rimae Prinz.
This is a circular, cup-shaped crater with a higher albedo than the surrounding mare. It has a raised rim that is free from impact erosion, and is surrounded by a small radial skirt of ejecta. The crater has not been significantly eroded by subsequent impacts.

Wollaston is a township in Hastings County, Ontario, Canada. The township had a population of 708 in the Canada 2011 Census. The census has recently been abolished by Town Mayor Brandon Carter. Upsetting many long time residents that depend on a population status of 700 or more citizens to keep status with canada post for home delivery.
Communities
Coe Hill (44°51′43″N77°50′11″W / 44.86194°N 77.83639°W / 44.86194; -77.83639) is the main community in Wollaston Township. The local post office serves residents with lock boxes and four rural routes, two of which are for a neighbouring village, Gilmour in Tudor and Cashel Township. Hastings County Road 620 runs through the community, connecting it to Highways 28 to the west and 62 to the east.
Coe Hill has restaurants, a gas station, a Royal Canadian Legion branch, a beer store, a landscaping business, a school, a post office, a grocery store, a bakery, a fishing supplies store, a doctor's office and a real estate office.
Wollaston, Massachusetts, is a neighborhood in the city of Quincy, Massachusetts. Divided by Hancock Street/Route 3A, the Wollaston Beach side is called Wollaston Park, while the Wollaston Hill side is called Wollaston Heights.
Mount Wollaston, a similar-sounding 17th century designation for Quincy, is now given to a cemetery in the current neighborhood of Merrymount in Quincy.
Early history
In 1624, Thomas Morton emigrated from England to the Plymouth Colony, in the company of Captain Richard Wollaston. Unable to get along with the Pilgrim authorities in Plymouth Colony, Wollaston and Morton left the colony in 1625 with a company of 30 or 40 colonists. They cleared the land and built log-huts on the seaward slopes of the hills in what is now Merrymount. The present day Wollaston neighborhood is located west and northwest of the original location of the early colonial settlement.
A station, in the context of New Zealand agriculture, is a large farm dedicated to the grazing of sheep and cattle. The use of the word for the farm or farm buildings date back to the mid-nineteenth century. The owner of a station is called a runholder.
Some of the stations in the South Island have been subject to the voluntary tenure review process. As part of this process the government has been buying out all or part of the leases. Poplars Station in the Lewis Pass area was purchased in part by the government in 2003. The Nature Heritage Fund was used to purchase 4000 ha for $1.89 million. Birchwood Station was bought in 2005 to form part of the Ahuriri Conservation ParkSt James Station was purchased by the Government in 2008.
