William II de Cantilupe (died 1251) (anciently Cantelow, Cantelou, Canteloupe, etc, Latinised to de Cantilupo) was an Anglo-Norman landownwer and administrator.
He died in 1251. His widow was awarded custody of Henry III's daughter Margaret, later Queen of Scots.
He was succeeded by his son William III de Cantilupe. Their daughter Juliana married into the wealthy de Tregoz family. Another son, Thomas de Cantilupe, was Bishop of Hereford and a saint.
William III de Cantilupe (died 25 September 1254) (anciently Cantelow, Cantelou, Canteloupe, etc, Latinised to de Cantilupo) was lord of Abergavenny in right of his wife, Eva de Braose, of the de Braose dynasty of Welsh Marcher Lords, who inherited the tenancy.
William I de Cantilupe (died 7 April 1239) (anciently Cantelow, Cantelou, Canteloupe, etc, Latinised to de Cantilupo) was an Anglo-Norman baron and royal administrator.
Origins
Cantilupe was born c. 1159 in Buckinghamshire, the son of Walter de Cantilupe, recorded in 1166 as a minor landowner in Essex and Lincolnshire, who was a younger brother of Fulk de Cantilupe (died 1217/18), Sheriff of Berkshire in 1200/1. The family probably originated from the Norman manor which is now the small hamlet of Canteloup, in Normandy, 11 miles east of Caen.
Career under King John
In 1198 he was Steward to John, Count of Mortain, the future King John(1199–1216), in which year his uncle Fulk de Cantilupe was also a member of the Count's household. From 1200 to 1204 he served as Sheriff of Worcestershire and in 1204 as Under-Sheriff of Herefordshire. In 1205 he took part in the ineffectual expedition to Poitou.
In 1207, he was Sheriff of Worcestershire, serving until the end of the reign of King John in 1216.
In 1209, following his appointment as Sheriff of Warwickshire and Sheriff of Leicestershire, his main residence became Kenilworth Castle in Warwickshire.

SUMMARY
=======
This is an incomplete list of people and angels whom the Catholic Church has canonized as saints. According to Catholic theology, all saints enjoy the beatific vision; it is impossible therefore for any list to enumerate them all. Many of the saints listed here are to be found in the General Roman Calendar, while others may also be found in the Roman Martyrology; still others are particular to local places and their recognition does not extend to the larger worldwide church.
Candidates go through the following steps on the way to being declared saints.
Saints acknowledged by the Eastern Orthodox and other churches are listed in Category:Christian saints by century and/or Category:Christian saints by nationality.
This list of Catholic saints is ordered chronologically by date of death.
