Wasted! or Naar de Klote! is a 1996Dutchdrama film directed by Aryan Kaganof. It is the first movie concerning the Dutch Dance Scene.
The film was run in the time the Dutch gabber scene was on its highpoint. The same was true for the recreational use of XTC under Dutch youths.
Plot
Two teenagers in love go to the big city (Amsterdam) and wind up in the house and trance scene. The boy ends up spending his days smoking weed; the girl encounters the use of XTC and runs into the drug underworld selling XTC. At some point, they lose contact but reunite in the end.
Title
The title of the film comes from the hit Alles naar de Klote (Everything Wasted!) of the Rotterdam hardcorehouse band De Euromasters.
The film is supported by good selling soundtrack with songs of Party Animals, Flamman & Abraxas and Deepzone.
The single began receiving country radio airplay as an album track, causing it to place on the US Country chart weeks before its official release as a single.
In January 2007, Underwood filmed the video for the song in Tampa, Florida. This is now her fourth music video, and it was released during the beginning of February. The music video premiered on CMT Loaded.com.
Underwood performed the song on American Idol on March 8, 2007, after they paid her a tribute for her achievements since winning Idol in May 2005. She also performed the song live during the 2007 Academy of Country Music Awards on May 15.
Background
"Wasted" is a mid-tempo that deals with themes of addiction, including alcoholism. The song has two characters who each have to stop the addiction from taking over their lives. One of them gets out of addiction to a relationship, and the other gets out of addiction to alcohol.
Alan Grant (born 1949) is a Scottishcomic book writer known for writing Judge Dredd in 2000 AD as well as various Batman titles during the late 1980s, 1990s and early 2000s. He is also the creator of the characters Anarky and the Ventriloquist.
Career
Early career
Alan Grant first entered the comics industry in 1967 when he became an editor for D.C. Thomson before moving to London from Dundee in 1970 to work for IPC on various romance magazines.
After going back to college and having a series of jobs, Grant found himself back in Dundee and living on Social Security. He then met John Wagner, another former D.C. Thompson editor, who was helping put together a new science fiction comic for IPC, 2000 A.D., and was unable to complete his other work. Wagner asked Grant if he could help him write the Tarzan comic he was working on; so began the Wagner/Grant writing partnership.
2000AD
Wagner asked Grant to write a strip for Starlord, a 2000AD spin off, which eventually got Grant noticed within IPC. On a trip to London, Grant was introduced to Kelvin Gosnell, then editor of 2000AD, who offered Grant an editorial position on the comic. One of Grant's first jobs was to oversee the merger of 2000AD and Tornado, an unsuccessful boys adventure comic. Grant featured as a character in the comic in the form of ALN-1, Tharg's Scottish Robot assistant. Grant found himself in conflict with IPC and resigned to become a freelance writer, writing the occasional issue of Future Shock and Blackhawk.
The first two mini-series, "First Blood" and "Second Chances," were published by Dark Horse Comics, although it was announced on October 31, 2007, that forthcoming Perhapanauts comics would be published by Image Comics.
Plot
The Image Comics series began with an annual in February 2008, "Jersey Devil", followed by what may either be numerous upcoming mini-series or an ongoing series. The first series is "Triangle" taking the team into the Bermuda Triangle, which starts publication in April 2008.
The story follows a team of supernatural investigators (in that they both investigate the supernatural, and are supernatural beings who investigate) working for Bedlam, a top-secret government agency. The main focus of the stories are on Blue Group, one team of Bedlam operatives.
The members of Blue Group are Arisa Hines, the group's leader who has psychic powers; Big, a Sasquatch whose intelligence has been artificially raised; Choopie, a Chupacabra with a somewhat erratic personality; MG, a mysterious being who appears human but has the power to travel to other dimensions; and Molly MacAllistar, a ghost. Other characters in the series include Joann DeFile, a psychic who works as an adviser for Bedlam; Peter Hammerskold, a former Marine with psychic powers who is the leader of Bedlam's Red Group and sees Blue Group as rivals; the Merrow, a water elemental fairy who works on Red Group; and Karl, a Mothman who is a Bedlam reservist and would like to be a full-time member of Blue Group.
BrassMunk is a Canadian hip hop group from Scarborough, Ontario, located in east Toronto. Formed in 1997, the group consists of emcees S-Roc, Clip, Reign (aka King Reign), and DJ/producer Agile. Founding member, May 19, was replaced by Reign prior to 2007.
Brassmunk released a number of independent singles in the late 1990s and early 2000s, and released their first EP, Dark Sunrise, in 2002 on 54th/Virgin Music Canada. The following year, Dark Sunrise was re-released worldwide on Battleaxe Records as an LP, and included their previous independent releases. Dark Sunrise was nominated for Best Rap Recording at the 2004 Juno Awards. Their follow up album, FEWturistic, was released on March 20, 2007, and featured the singles "Take It Easy" and "Drive Me Crazy". In 2008, the album earned them another Juno nomination.
The band's best known singles to date are "Big", produced by Mr. Attic of Da Grassroots and "Oh Supaman", produced by Agile.

LEGEND Batman, Lobo Writer Alan Grant Has Passed Away.
I bring you sad tidings my friends, legendary writer Alan Grant has passed away at age 79. He was probably best known for his writings on Batman, Drudge Dredd, and one of our favorites Lobo. He spent many years writing comics in Europe before the British invasion of U.S. comics in the 1980's. He worked for both DC comics and Marvel Comics over the years. He was a legend in the comic book industry and many of our best stories would not exist without him. No official cause of death has been announced. Let's toast the victorious dead.

She doesn't feel like she fits in in the small town she lives in. She doesn't think the same and they can tell she's different. No one knows her name. They don't talk to her they pass right by it makes her feel so invisible. She buries her head in books, tries to ignore all the dirty looks, she pretends she is some other person. She's got dreams. She wants to see the world someday if she can ever get out of this place. Wasted Away, Wasted Away.... She's wasted away. Late at night they come to her window. They only want one thing, and they know just where to find it. She doesn't want to give in. It's killing her inside. She only wants the attention. They're gone and she's all alone again, everyone wants to take her no one takes her to the prom. She sits at home, she cries herself to sleep at night, praying for a time when she doesn't hate her life. Wasted Away, Wasted Away.... She's wasted away. Wasted Away, Wasted Away....
