The Vietnam News Agency (VNA), a governmental agency, is the official state news provider of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
As the only news agency of the whole country, the state-run VNA is responsible for publishing official information and documents of the party and state, providing information in service of the party leadership and state management, while collecting and providing news via various forms to the mass media agencies, the public and readers of all kinds, both at home and abroad.
The VNA is headquartered at 5 Lý Thường Kiệt Street, Hanoi, in the National News Centre. The organisation’s southern and central representative offices are located at 120 Nguyễn Thị Minh Khai Street, Hồ Chí Minh City, and 28 Lê Thánh Tông Street, Đà Nẵng
.
History
The VNA is a media complex consisting of 32 affiliates, including news units (five editorial departments and two source news centres), various publication and press bodies (one publishing house and nine newspapers), and multi-media units (a television channel and e-portal), together with five news support centres and two printing, trade and services companies.
VietNam is a rock band from Brooklyn, New York on Mexican Summer. Since the group's inception it has undergone many personnel changes, with leader Michael Gerner remaining the sole original member and chief songwriter. VietNam released their first EP on Vice Records in 2004, The Concrete's Always Grayer on the Other Side of the Street followed by VietNam in 2007 and an A.merican D.ream in 2013.
Paris (UK: /ˈpærɪs/PARR-iss; US: i/ˈpɛərɪs/PAIR-iss; French: [paʁi]) is the capital and most populous city of France. Situated on the Seine River, in the north of the country, it is in the centre of the Île-de-Franceregion, also known as the région parisienne, "Paris Region". The City of Paris has an area of 105km² (41mi²) and a population of 2,241,346 (2014 estimate) within its administrative borders essentially unchanged since 1860.
Since the 19th century, the built-up area of Paris has grown far beyond its administrative borders; together with its suburbs, the whole agglomeration has a population of 10,550,350 (Jan. 2012 census).Paris' metropolitan area spans most of the Paris region and has a population of 12,341,418 (Jan. 2012 census), or one-fifth of the population of France. The administrative region covers 12,012km² (4,638mi²), with approximately 12 million inhabitants as of 2014, and has its own regional council and president.
Paris was founded in the 3rd century BC by a Celtic people called the Parisii, who gave the city its name. By the 12th century, Paris was the largest city in the western world, a prosperous trading centre, and the home of the University of Paris, one of the first in Europe. In the 18th century, it was the centre stage for the French Revolution, and became an important centre of finance, commerce, fashion, science, and the arts, a position it still retains today.
Paris, Texas is a city and county seat of Lamar County, Texas, United States. As of the 2010 census, the population of the city was 25,171. It is situated in Northeast Texas at the western edge of the Piney Woods, and 98 miles (158km) northeast of the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex. Physiographically, these regions are part of the West Gulf Coastal Plain.
Following a tradition of American cities named "Paris", a 65-foot (20m) replica of the Eiffel Tower was constructed in 1993. In 1998, presumably as a response to the 1993 construction of a 60-foot (18m) tower in Paris, Tennessee, the city placed a giant red cowboy hat atop the tower. The current tower is at least the second Eiffel Tower replica built in Paris; the first was constructed of wood and later destroyed by a tornado.
History
Lamar County was first settled in different parts of an area to the west of Jonesborough and Clarksville. There was a settlement on the Red River at a place called Fulton, one near what is now called Emberson, one to the southeast of that near where today is the North Lamar school complex, a fourth southwest of that at the Chisum-Johnson community called Pinhook, and a group of pioneers east of that at Moore's Springs. In late 1839, George W. Wright moved from his farm northeast of Clarksville to a hill where he had purchased 1,000 acres of unoccupied land. It was on the old road from the Kiomatia River's mouth at the Red River to the Grand Prairie. Wright opened a general store on the road. By December 1840 a new county had been formed, named for Republic of Texas President Mirabeau B. Lamar. By September 1841 Wright's store was called Paris and served as the local postal office. In August 1844, the county commissioners took Wright's offer of 50 acres and made Paris the county seat.

The Paris Accord: What is it? And What Does it All Mean?
At the heart of the desire to get America out of the Paris Agreement seems to be three things:
1. Nostalgia. The focus on coal, an energy source that is becoming uneconomical even in developing countries, and that employs very few people in America can't have anything to do with anything except an imagined fondness for a world that probably never existed. These people are right that fossil fuels have been great for Americans and also for the world. I think the people who worked and fought to use fossil fuels to make people's lives better did good things. I also think we need new paths and to retire old ones.
2. A push to have countries care only about their own interests. Climate change is the best example that this doesn't work. And that's very scary for people who are skeptical of glo...

Cambodia’s Paris Peace Accords: 25 Years Later
Cambodia’s 1991 peace accord launched a process of cease-fire, peacekeeping and rebuilding that stabilized the country, but left deep wounds still unhealed from the 1970s genocide and decades of war. The Cambodian peace process was one of the first of its scale undertaken by the international community after the Cold War—and a quarter-century of work to implement it offers lessons for current and future peacebuilding work, both in Cambodia and worldwide.

It may seem to them awfully convenient that the people who want a more global society happened to find this disaster that can only be solved by a more global society.
Of course there are some that are purely economically motivated, but while those people are powerful, there aren't many of them. But these are the things that really resonate with large numbers of people. And when you're trying to defend your worldview, you'll make some magnificent mental leaps to do it...like that every scientist ever is lying about how CO2 absorption works.

Cambodia's 1991 peace accords cemented arrangements for a cease-fire, peacekeeping and rebuilding that stabilized the country, but left deep wounds still unhealed from the 1970s genocide and decades of war. The Cambodian peace process was one of the first of its scale undertaken by the international community after the Cold War. A quarter-century of work to implement the terms offers lessons for current and future peacebuilding, in Cambodia and worldwide. Since a political crisis in 2013-2014 over disputed elections, analysts also have debated how the country can consolidate democracy and advance reconciliation before the next national election, 20 months away. On December 15, USIP will host a discussion on the Paris Peace Accords of 1991, the state of their implementation, and the path ahead for the country's 15 million people.
Two panels will discuss how the accords were achieved, political tensions since then, lessons that might be drawn from Cambodia's experience for other peace processes, and what role the international community might play going forward to preserve the peace and the intent of the accords.

They say every distance is not near
So I remember every face
Of every man who put me here
I see my light come shinin'
From the west down to the east
Any day now, any day now

They say every man needs protection
They say that every man must fall
Yet I swear I see my reflection

Where is my happiness?
Cried...sobbed the Man
Who had...has everything
Who stole my happiness?
Snatched away
By people who should have cared
People who should have cared
People who should have cared
Where is my happiness?
Cried...sobbed the Man
Who has had everything
Who stole my happiness?
Ripped away
By people who should have cared
People who should have cared
People who could have cared
Solitary man
Do you gaze in retrospect?
Wishing...wanting...longing
That you had seized this day
Solitary man
Do you ever hesitate?
Wondering...doubting...questioning
That you wasted seizing that day
Solitary man
Do you revel in false fulfilment?
Knowing...thinking....feeling
That you failed to seize the day
Where’s my happiness?
Cried...sobbed the Man
Where is my happiness?
Cried...sobbed the Man

The Vietnam News Agency in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has released a book on the Paris Agreement on Ending the War and Restoring Peace in Vietnam which was signed 50 years ago.
An exhibition featuring paintings by retired journalists of the Vietnam News Agency kicked off in Ho Chi Minh City on September 12 on the occasion of the 77th founding anniversary of the VNA.
The Vietnam News Agency (VNA) on May 14 officially launched a special news website on the elections of deputies to the 15th National Assembly (NA) and People’s Councils at all levels in the 2021-2026 tenure, at https://baucuquochoi.vn.
Vietnam News Agency (VNA) participated with a special stall in the second edition of the Global Media Congress (GMC), held from 14th – 16th November, 2023 in Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates.
A Vietnam News Agency (VNA) delegation led by General Director Vu Viet Trang is taking part in the 18th General Assembly of the Organisation of Asia-Pacific News Agencies (OANA), which kicked off in the Iranian capital of Tehran on October 24.
A high-level delegation from the Vietnam News Agency (VNA), led by Director General Vu Viet Trang, was received by Lao Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone on November 20 in Vientiane.
In January of 1973 the Paris Peace Accords were signed after four years of negotiations, with the intent to establish peace in Vietnam and end the war. The Accords were signed by the United States, and North and South Vietnam. The agreement stated that armies from both North and South Vietnam would hold their positions, the United States military would withdraw from combat and leave the country, and both sides of the conflict would work together to find a peaceful path to reunification. This segment from Iowa Public Television's Iowans Remember Vietnam documentary includes archival footage and an interview with a veteran of the war.
http://iptv.org
Major funding for the Iowans Remember Vietnam documentary was provided by Casey’s General Stores; additional funding provided by Prairie Meadows.
This video looks at the ending of the Vietnam War. Once the Paris Peace Agreement was signed, it essentially signalled the end of Thieu's regime in South Vietnam. This was confirmed when guerrillas started to intensify their efforts in the South. Ultimately, in April 1975, the Fall of Saigon signalled a Northern victory and a communist Vietnam.
And that's very scary for people who are skeptical of globalism.
There are a couple Twitter threads that I really enjoyed on these topics. here they are.

The Paris Peace Accords of 1973 intended to establish peace in Vietnam and an end to the Vietnam War. It ended direct U.S. military combat, and temporarily stopped the fighting between North and South Vietnam. The governments of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, the Republic of Vietnam, and the United States, as well as the Provisional Revolutionary Government that represented indigenous South Vietnamese revolutionaries, signed the Agreement on Ending the War and Restoring Peace in Vietnam on January 27, 1973. The agreement was not ratified by the United States Senate.
The negotiations that led to the accord began in 1968 after various lengthy delays. As a result of the accord, the International Control Commission was replaced by International Commission of Control and Supervision to fulfill the agreement. The main negotiators of the agreement were United States National Security Advisor Henry Kissinger and Vietnamese politburo member Lê Đức Thọ; the two men were awarded the 1973 Nobel Peace Prize for their efforts, although Lê Đức Thọ refused to accept it.

Vietnam, band hailing out of Brooklyn, New York, defintly has the indie vibe in their tunes. They made it big by having over a million views (har har har, social mass media) on youtube with the song "Love will never do"...a Janet Jackson cover...A true hippy looking band sporting some narley beards.
"You have left too much of yourself in this land for it not to be yours. I, too, will always be yours, for you have left too much of yourself with me for it to be otherwise"

LYRICS
They say everything can be replaced
They say every distance is not near
So I remember every face
Of every man who put me here
I see my light come shinin'
From the west down to the east
Any day now, any day now
I shall be released
They say every man needs protection
They say that every man must fall
Yet I swear I see my reflection
Somewhere so high above this wall
I see my light come shinin'
From the west down to the east
Any day now, any day now
I shall be released
Now yonder stands a man in this lonely crowd
A man who swears he's not to blame
All day long I hear him shouting so loud
Just crying out that he was framed
I see my light come shinin'
From the west down to the east
Any day now, any day now
I shall be released
New Zealand post-punk band Vietnam formed in late 1981, while the original four members were all still in high school at Wellington’s Wainuiomata College. Disbanding with the release of their 1985 self-titled debut EP, and reforming more than three decades later, the now six-piece Vietnam is based between Wellington, New Zealand and Sydney, Australia.
'Where Is My Happiness?' is the band's second single from the forthcoming album 'This Quiet Room', released on 28th January 2022.

Where is my happiness?
Cried...sobbed the Man
Who had...has everything
Who stole my happiness?
Snatched away
By people who should have cared
People who should have cared
People who should have cared
Where is my happiness?
Cried...sobbed the Man
Who has had everything
Who stole my happiness?
Ripped away
By people who should have cared
People who should have cared
People who could have cared
Solitary man
Do you gaze in retrospect?
Wishing...wanting...longing
That you had seized this day
Solitary man
Do you ever hesitate?
Wondering...doubting...questioning
That you wasted seizing that day
Solitary man
Do you revel in false fulfilment?
Knowing...thinking....feeling
That you failed to seize the day
Where’s my happiness?
Cried...sobbed the Man
Where is my happiness?
Cried...sobbed the Man

Paul McCartney wanted the Beatles to star in an anti-Vietnam War film at the height of their fame, a new book has revealed.
After the Fab Four's second major motion picture, Help, came out a year ago, philosopher Bertrand Russell begged the lead singer and bass guitarist "to do something positive" with the band's worldwide fan base by creating a political film.
