VH1 Classic is a television network, launched on July 1, 1999 in the UK and May 8, 2000 in the US. It is operated by Viacom Music and Entertainment Group, a unit of Viacom Media Networks division of Viacom and primarily features a mainstream rock/adult hits-formatted mix of music videos and concert footage from the 1970s through the mid-1990s, though it formerly included a wider range of genres and time periods. This channel is a sister channel to VH1.
The network originally played only videos but currently has a more varied line-up of music-themed programs. This includes themed compilation shows of music videos and concert footage, such as music videos focused on Heavy Metal music or on music of the 1980s, music documentaries such as the Classic Albums series, music themed movies, and full length concerts. They also rebroadcast programs first shown on the main VH1 channel, including Pop-Up Video and I Love the '80s.
VH1 Classic Europe, also known as VH1 Classic European, is a music television channel from Viacom International Media Networks Europe. The channel primarily features music videos from the 80s through to the 00s, although rare live performances from the 50s, 60s and 70s can be seen as well. VH1 Classic was first launched in the United Kingdom on July 1, 1999 and made available from the beginning to the whole of Europe. However, the current pan-European service was launched in November 30, 2004, when it became a separate feed from VH1 Classic UK. Like VH1 Europe, it broadcast from MTV Networks Europe's premises in Camden Town (London, UK). It is officially available to viewers all over Europe (except the UK & Ireland). Unlike VH1 Classic UK, the pan-European version of the channel is entirely devoid of advertisements, with round-the-clock music videos played out from MTV Networks Europe's comprehensive library in London.

MTV Classic is a 24 hour music channel from Viacom International Media Networks Europe. The channel launched in the United Kingdom and Ireland on 1 July 1999 as VH1 Classic. The channel focuses on music videos and music specials from the 1960s onwards, sometimes featuring music videos and concert footage from as early as at least the 1940s, such as Bing Crosby's "White Christmas" from 1942. The channel has also occasionally aired videos from the early 2000s. "Video Killed the Radio Star" by The Buggles, the first video to air on the original MTV in 1981, was also the first music video to be played when the channel was rebranded as MTV Classic on 1 March 2010.
Since the rebrand, Viacom has rebranded other international channels as MTV Classic. On 1 May 2010, VH1 Australia was rebranded as MTV Classic and on 10 January 2011, MTV Networks Europe launched an Italian version of the same channel, replacing MTV Gold.
MTV Classic began broadcasting in widescreen on 6 March 2012.
MTV Classic (in the UK and Ireland) was originally launched on July 1, 1999 as VH1 Classic. The channel (at the time when it was called VH1 Classic) was originally available for the entire Europe until November 2004 (when the UK version of VH1 Classic was split from the pan-European feed).
On March 1, 2010, the UK version of VH1 Classic was rebranded into MTV Classic. The channel was known to play music videos from the 1960s until the early 2010s (or I'll say, the entirety of 2010s in the last few years of broadcast), though it also aired music videos from the 1940s and the 1950s. The channel was also notable for its temporary channels, such as MTV Xmas (which was aired during the Christmas season in the UK from 2013 until 2021), MTV Summer (from August until September of 2014 and from Ju...

On March 31, 2022, MTV Classic (in the UK), alongside with MTV Base, were closed down for good, which both of these channels were replaced with the UK versions of MTV 80s and MTV 90s, respectively.
On a side note, I wasn't able to record the shutdown of MTV Base UK, though. I also want to note that MTV Classic is still broadcasting in Australia (but not in New Zealand, as it was replaced by MTV 80s on July 6, 2020), though it is worth noting that the Australian version of MTV Classic was used to be broadcasted in the Philippines as a digital subchannel on IBC-13 sometime in 2017 and it was available on Solar's (defunct?) commercial satellite provider Agilasat sometime in 2018.
Rest in peace, MTV Classic UK. You'll be missed.
