The U.S. East Coast: The Heart Of New England
From New York, the journey up the coast leads into the heart of New England. We visit Yale; spend some time in the 19th century mansions at Newport, RI; tour the coastal fishing and vacation towns of Massachusetts, and then meet a modern entrepreneur in Boston and see her rooftop gardens.
Maddie is the captain of the rowing team at Yale University in New Haven. Training is tough, harder than even classes. After a stopover in Rhode Island - the smallest state in the country - to discover luxurious 19th century villas and an alpaca farm, we continue to the island of Martha's Vineyard. The trip ends in Boston, the capital of Massachusetts.

Welcome to amberstudent's YouTube channel! Here you'll find everything you need to know about student accommodation! Like, share, and subscribe for more informative, educational, and fun content!
Want to study abroad but are confused about whether to choose the UK or the USA? Let us help you clear your doubts! There are a few things you need to look at before you choose whether to study in the UK or the USA!
*Choosing you major*
In the USA, students have time till the end of the second year to decide which major they want to pick, while in the UK, students need to decide their major before they even come to the campus!
*Costs*
In the UK, due to a law passed in 2012, the tuition fees for domestic students would be at the maximum of £9000 per year, and for international students, the costs will be higher. Whereas, in the USA, there is no such cap, which can lead to some crazy tuition fees. There are also in-state tuition fees and out-of-state tuition fees, as well as between private and public universities. The average fee for a private university is around $29,000 per year, but others reach up to $50,000 per year.
*Course Length*
One big difference is that the courses in the USA are longer than in the UK. Undergraduate courses in the UK are 3 years; in the USA, they are 4 years. A postgraduate course in the UK is 1 year long, and in the USA it is 2 years. A PhD will take around 3 to 4 years, but in the USA takes 5 to 7 years,
*Study Method*
The universities in the UK are more lecture-based and may include the occasional assessment with an exam at the end of the term, while universities in the USA are much more assessment-based, and students are likely to have weekly, bi-weekly or monthly assessments.
*Work Opportunities*
In the USA, international students can only stay for 60 days after graduation and choose another college or an Optional Practical Training to gain an F-1 Visa. In the UK, students can remain in the UK for up to 2 years and even work there!
*Student Accommodation*
Student accommodation in the UK and USA is also different! In the UK, students will almost always have their own room or studio-style apartment in the halls, but after their first year, students will need to find private accommodations as the university won't provide them with one. Think of your typical movie set in college. Believe it or not, that's exactly what student accommodation in the USA is like!
Well, If you are not interested in college accommodation, then amber provides some of the best student accommodation at an affordable price right next to your chosen university!
