The University of Lethbridge (also known as uLethbridge and U of L) is a publicly funded comprehensive academic and research university, founded in the liberal education tradition, located in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada, with two other urban campuses in Calgary and Edmonton. The main building sits among the coulees on the west side of the Oldman River.
The University of Lethbridge is a non-denominational university established in 1967 at Lethbridge, Alberta. In 1968, the University awarded its first undergraduate degrees in the liberal arts.
The architect Arthur Erickson designed University Hall which has received international acclaim for its architectural originality and functional design. The University Hall opened in 1971.
In 1996, the University of Lethbridge opened campuses in Calgary and Edmonton.
On December 17, 2009, Mike Mahon, the dean of the Faculty of Physical Education and Recreation at the University of Alberta was named the next president of the University of Lethbridge. His term began on July 1, 2010.
Lethbridge/ˈlɛθbrɪdʒ/ is a city in the province of Alberta, Canada, and the largest city in southern Alberta. It is Alberta's fourth-largest city by population after Calgary, Edmonton and Red Deer, and the third-largest by area after Calgary and Edmonton. The nearby Canadian Rockies contribute to the city's warm summers, mild winters, and windy climate. Lethbridge lies southeast of Calgary on the Oldman River.
Lethbridge is the commercial, financial, transportation and industrial centre of southern Alberta. The city's economy developed from drift mining for coal in the late 19th century and agriculture in the early 20th century. Half of the workforce is employed in the health, education, retail and hospitality sectors, and the top five employers are government-based. The only university in Alberta south of Calgary is in Lethbridge, and two of the three colleges in southern Alberta have campuses in the city. Cultural venues in the city include performing art theatres, museums and sports centres.
Lethbridge was a provincial electoral district in Alberta, Canada.
The riding has existed twice. The first incarnation was in 1905 when Alberta first became a province. Lethbridge covered a large patch of southern Alberta, It was broken into Lethbridge District and Lethbridge City in 1909. After Lethbridge District was broken up into Taber and Little Bow in 1913, Lethbridge City was all that remained, using the Lethbridge name; in 1921 Lethbridge was reformed after City was dropped from the name. In 1971 Lethbridge was split into two districts: Lethbridge-East and Lethbridge-West.
Lethbridge is a BrisbaneR&B group. It consists of the four Kereama brothers namely Levi Kereama, Jules Kereama, Ezra Kereama and Lane Kereama. The group formed in 1997 and earned a support slot for Boyz II Men on an Australian tour.
However, it was when Levi Kereama was a finalist on Australian Idol in 2003 that their career took off. The group's debut single, In My Room, debuted in the ARIA Australian Top 40 singles charts in May 2004.
On 4 October 2008 Levi Kereama was found dead after falling from a Brisbane hotel building, where he had been staying after performing at the Parklife Festival earlier that day. It has been reported that he was suffering from depression, though denied by his family. Queensland Police are treating the death as non-suspicious.

Municipal Elections 2021: What Will Determine the Outcome?
Lethbridge’s 2021 Municipal Elections has the potential to be very interesting. For sure, the City will have a new Mayor and several fresh faces on Council. Many issues are up for debate and there are questions on the ballot: Is there a need for a third Bridge and should Lethbridge adopt a ward system? Additionally, the Province is asking Albertans for their opinion on equalization and daylight-saving time. The speaker will give an overview of these and other pressing issues such as homelessness and the overdose crisis. She will also supply information on what it takes to be a public servant and as well, provide a brief comparison between Bill 29: Local Authorities Election Amendment Act 2020, Bill 45: Local Authorities election Amendment Act 2020 (no. 2) and the previous Bill 23: An ...

Will Danielle Smith Heed the Election Message Voters in Alberta Sent Her? - SACPA - June 15, 2023
The 2023 Alberta provincial election is history and the UCP won a majority government. However, their majority was reduced from 63-24 to 49-38, which included several cabinet ministers losing their seat. As expected, the UCP almost swept the rural vote where they have 37 out of 41 seats. The NDP dominated Edmonton and made strong inroads in Calgary to the point where a few thousand total votes in six ridings could have changed who formed government.
As a result of the election, Danielle Smith’s UCP is likely to have more rural representation in cabinet than it did in the 2019-2023 term. The speaker will analyze the key elements and results of Alberta’s 2023 provincial election as well as give his thoughts on what another four years of UCP rule means for Albertans.

The 2023 Alberta provincial election is history and the UCP won a majority government.
