Cambridge is formed from a variety of institutions which include 31 constituent colleges and over 100 academic departments organised into six schools. The university occupies buildings throughout the city, many of which are of historical importance. The colleges are self-governing institutions founded as integral parts of the university. In the year ended 31 July 2015, the university had a total income of £1.638 billion, of which £397 million was from research grants and contracts. The central university and colleges have a combined endowment of around £5.89 billion, the largest of any university outside the United States. Cambridge is a member of many associations and forms part of the "golden triangle" of leading English universities and Cambridge University Health Partners, an academic health science centre. The university is closely linked with the development of the high-tech business cluster known as "Silicon Fen".
The constituency was not a geographical area. Its electorate consisted of the graduates of the University. Before 1918 the franchise was restricted to male graduates with a Doctorate or MA degree. Sedgwick records that there were 377 electors in 1727. For the 1754–1790 period Namier and Brooke estimated the electorate at about 500.
In the early 18th century the electors were mostly Tory. However the Whig ministers of King George I were able to persuade the King to use the royal prerogative power to confer doctorates, so from 1727 the University returned Whig representatives. Oxford University, where the King did not have the same prerogative power, remained safely Tory (indeed often Jacobite) in sympathies.
St John's College (commonly called 'St Johns College Cawaci) is a Roman Catholic secondary school located in Cawaci, on the island of Ovalau, in the province of Lomaiviti, Fiji. St John's College is a co-educational boarding school. While administered by the Catholic Archdiocese, it also accepts non-Catholic students and apart from priests, nuns and brothers of religious orders, has government-paid staff.
History
St John's College is one of Fiji's oldest Catholic mission schools, established at Nasarete (Nazareth) a small hill within the Cawaci Catholic Mission land in 1894. The school catered first for native Fijians of chiefly rank. This class-based enrolment was later abolished. The Marist Brothers were responsible for teaching the boys. Brothers Maurice, Vincent and Cloman were the first teachers. The school opened with 12 students and by 1906 there were 80 boys from all parts of Fiji. By 1929 there were 100 pupils and in 1938 there were 300. In 1937 the boys aged 6 to 16, were required to pay £1 on entry to pay for their sulu, soap, text book and exercise books. They were taught in Fijian and then in English.
The federal electoral district was created in 1976 and consisted of the city of Cambridge and the Township of North Dumfries. In 1987, part of the city of Kitchener was added to the district. In 1996, the boundaries were redrawn again to include a slightly different section of Kitchener. The current boundaries, which are the same as the original definition and contain no parts of Kitchener, were defined in 2003.
Note: Conservative vote is compared to the total of the Canadian Alliance vote and Progressive Conservative vote in 2000 election. John Gots' vote as a CHP candidate is compared to his vote in 2000 as an unaffiliated candidate.

Cambridge is More Than a University Town
Cambridge may be home to one of the world’s most revered universities but there's much more to this historic English town. With the picturesque River Cam running through its centre, Cambridge is as beautiful and it is fascinating. New restaurants and bars have invigorated its food scene, offering a blend of creativity and tradition. Welcome to Cambridge.

Dr. Nur Ünal - Quantum Simulations, Topology and Quantum Geometry
I am a theoretical physicist at the University of Cambridge working on condensed matter systems with a specific focus on ultracold quantum gases. I investigate various novel phenomena including but not limited to topologically protected states, out-of-equilibrium dynamics, Floquet systems, superconductivity, localization, synthetic gauge fields, fractional quantum Hall and non-Abelian physics. I am particularly interested in artificial systems cleverly designed to simulate and study these quantum phenomena. As such, although my work is mainly theoretical, I also collaborate closely with experiments to take full advantage of these state-of-the-art quantum simulators (my collaborations include major groups across Europe, UK, US and China, rf. publications). This allows me to both address fundamental pursuits at the forefront of research and explore new ways to harness them in laboratories by breaking them down into their constituents.
