"U-Turn" is a song by Usher, released as the fourth international single from his 2001 album 8701. The song was a dance track produced by Jermaine Dupri and was a departure from the previous two smooth ballad singles that had been released from the album. The track reached the top 10 in Australia, the top 20 in the UK and Switzerland and was a top 40 hit in the Netherlands. The single was not released in the US.
The song was written by Usher, Dupri and Brian Michael Cox who co-wrote four songs on the album including hit single "U Got It Bad". The song also references Michael Jackson and Bobby Brown and also refers to the crunk style of rap making it one of the first mainstream R&B tracks to refer to that style.

A U-turn in driving refers to performing a 180° rotation to reverse the direction of travel. It is called a "U-turn" because the maneuver looks like the letter U. In some areas, the maneuver is illegal, while in others, it is treated as a more ordinary turn, merely extended. In still other areas, lanes are occasionally marked "U-turn permitted" or even "U-turn only."
Occasionally, on a divided highway, special U-turn ramps exist to allow traffic to make a U-turn, though often their use is restricted to emergency and police vehicles only.
In the United States, U-turn regulations vary by state: in Indiana U-turns are allowed as long as the driver follows all of the precautions normally ascribed to making a left turn (yielding right-of-way, etc.). Many places, including Texas and Georgia, have specially designed U-turn lanes (referred to as Texas U-turn lanes). In Michigan, U-turns are required for many left turns to and from divided highways, as part of the Michigan Left maneuver (also referred to as a Michigan Turn).

Nancy Botwin, née Price (Mary-Louise Parker, leading character) — also known as Lacey LaPlante (season two) and Nathalie Newman (season six) — was a PTA soccer mom until her husband, Judah, suddenly died of a heart attack. To maintain the upper middle-class lifestyle to which she was accustomed in the fictional town of Agrestic, Nancy entered the world of marijuana dealing. At the start, her regular clients include her accountant, her lawyer, and fellow suburban friends. Adding complications to the situation, are her sudden relationship with Peter Scottson, a DEA agent who discovers Nancy's business, but takes measures to ensure her safety. Peter grew increasingly hostile towards Nancy and is eventually killed. Eventually, Nancy works for a gangster named U-Turn. During one of her runs for him, she meets Guillermo, a Mexican drug trafficker, who offers her a chance to move up in the drug game. Nancy declines, but changes her mind and leaves Agrestic after a fiery situation involving a rival dealer.
