Anthony Robert (Tony) LewisCBE (born 6 July 1938) is a former Welshcricketer, who went on to become the face of BBC Television cricket coverage in the 1990s, and become president of the MCC.
Lewis was born in Swansea, and attended Christ's College, Cambridge, where he graduated as BA and later MA. He played county cricket for Glamorgan, and is the only Glamorgan cricketer to captain England. He led the 1972-73 MCC tour of India, Ceylon and Pakistan, playing for England in all eight Test matches. Asked to make himself available to captain England in West Indies in 1974, he declined, retired from cricket and concentrated on writing and broadcasting. After long service to cricket at Lord's - committee work from 1967-2011 - he created and chaired for five years, MCC World Cricket Committee, 2006-2011, opposing all cricket decisions that were led by money, race or religion. He initiated MCC research into the used of a pink ball in Day/Night Test matches. MCC President for two years 1998-2000, Ch. MCC Cricket 2001-2006, he became, in 2011, the 31st Honorary Life Vice-President of MCC to be nominated by the Club.

He was formerly a lecturer at the University of the West of England where the Duckworth-Lewis method originated from an undergraduate final-year project. The Outfield were an English rock band based in Manchester, England. They had an unusual experience for a British band in that they enjoyed commercial success in the U.S., but never in their homeland. The band began recording during the mid-1980s, and released its first album, Play Deep, in 1985 through Columbia Records. The album reached No.9 on the Billboard 200 list and then reached triple platinum in America. The band's single "Your Love" reached No.6 on the Billboard Hot 100 as well as No.7 on the Mainstream Rock chart, and it became its signature song. It went on to be featured in a number of 80s-themed compilation albums, and over 1,000 covers and remixes by other artists have been released physically and/or online. The other singles "Say It Isn't So" and "Everytime You Cry" also made it into the top 20 on the Mainstream Rock chart.
The band continued to record and tour through the 1980s and then into the early 1990s. While their second album, Bangin', hit the top 20 on the Billboard 200 list and had both singles hit the Top 40 Mainstream Rock chart, the group began losing their popular audience by their third album, Voices of Babylon, in 1989. Drummer Alan Jackman left and, now as a duo, they recorded Diamond Days in 1991. After the disappointing response to their 1992 album Rockeye, which represented a shift towards progressive rock and arena rock, the group essentially disbanded in the 90s. They resumed touring in 1998, and thereafter released two live albums via their website, along with a new studio album, Any Time Now, released by Sidewinder Records in March 2006. In 2009, original drummer Alan Jackman announced he was returning to The Outfield and the band would be recording a new album. The band's latest album, Replay, was released on June 28, 2011 and constituted a comeback to their traditional power pop sound. It produced two No.1 regional chart hits in "California Sun" and "A Long, Long Time Ago".
The miniseries was initially broadcast over five nights in two-hour episodes on NBC, beginning February 27, 2000. It won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Main Title Design in 2000.
Plot
In a hidden realm, fairy tale characters inhabit nine magical kingdoms where an Evil Queen plots to rule them. She is trapped in the Fourth Kingdom Prison under the rule of Prince Wendell, the spoiled, arrogant grandson of Snow White. Weeks before his coronation ceremony, the Queen enlists the help of the brutal Troll King and his three children to release her before the Prince makes his annual visit to the prison.
Prince Wendell is captured by the Evil Queen, who is his wicked stepmother and turns him into a Golden Retriever while her very own Retriever is transformed into Wendell. In panic, the transformed Prince flees through the Prison and stumbles across a traveling mirror in the basement and is transported to New York City. The Troll King orders his bumbling children Burly, Blabberwort and Bluebell to bring back the escaped Prince while the Queen releases a half-wolf prisoner (who is simply called Wolf) to retrieve him instead.
"I'm 50 years old and I've lived on the coast all my life, been through Hurricane Camille and others, too, but I've never seen anything like this. I didn't bring my wife and kids. I didn't want them to see this."
"Each entrant gets a free chance to win a 350 Chevy motor with performance mods,"
"It's just playing smart. We've just really been harping on that. We need to score. What's really important is we don't get sacked out of field goal range."
"We haven't had a kicker like Durbin in a long time. Sometimes kickers, you put them under pressure and they crack."
"I think they're going to be smart enough to know even if you're playing the last game and your rival's 0-9 and you're 9-0, ... you better be ready to play some football."
"What we need to do is compliment (Brian) and get Deandre back."
"He was just taking three steps drops, ... and it's tough to sack the quarterback."
"We felt the receivers were pushing off all night, ... (Johnson's) a big physical guy, but sometimes you're just going to get away with it."
"I made sweeping changes,"
"I told the players we'd either win by five or lose by five."

If I could put you, on top of a cake I would ice you ... and keep you, wrapped up in a box to be near you ... if I could ... I would ... If I could touch you, again with my fingers so gently ... if I could feel you, breathing in time next to me ... but the silence surrounds me, flashing memories of you, riding with the moon that night. I never had the chance to say goodbye ... goodbye ... Lost, forever, lost to another world ... Gone, forever, but remembered in our thoughts ... You are ... If I could open, the heavens above I'd be with you ... if I could hold you, again in my arms I would tell you ... that ...
