Tonio K. (born Steven M. Krikorian, July 4, 1950) is an American singer/songwriter who has released eight albums. His songs have been recorded by Al Green, Aaron Neville, Burt Bacharach, Bonnie Raitt, Chicago, Wynonna Judd and Vanessa Williams, among many others.{Warner-Chappell Music Publishing, 1991–2000} His song, "16 Tons of Monkeys," co-written with guitarist Steve Schiff, was the featured tune in the 1992 Academy Award winning Short Film, Session Man. He worked with Bacharach and Hip-Hop impresario Dr. Dre on Bacharach's At This Time, which won the Grammy for Best Pop Instrumental Recording in 2005.
Recording and performing artist
As a teenager, Krikorian, along with friends Alan Shapazian, Steve Olson, Nick van Maarth, and Duane Scott, formed a surf-funk/psychedelic-punk band called The Raik's Progress, which recorded a single for Liberty Records, released in 1966. Known for their Dadaist-inspired between-song routines, one reviewer described their performance while opening for Buffalo Springfield at San Francisco's Fillmore Auditorium as being like "the Three Stooges playing strip poker with Iggy and the Stooges." A full-length album by the band, Sewer Rat Love Chant, was eventually issued on Sundazed Records in 2003.
Lonely widow Jamie Rowan (Katharine Hepburn) helps the war effort by marrying a military research scientist, Patrick Jamieson (Spencer Tracy on film, Elliott Nugent on the stage), who has set up his lab in her house. Patrick has had all the worst of love and Jamie, all the best. They both believe that a marriage could be a success without love, as it reduces the chances of jealousy and bickering and all the other marital disadvantages. But as the film progresses, the inevitable happens as they begin to fall in love with each other.

(I. J. Hunter/C. Franklin) All night long I could not sleep For ringing in my ear I heard a sweet, soft melody, yes I did The words at first, I couldn't make out clear The black cloud had drifted away And, baby, this is what I heard her say, she said Without love, there's nothing you can do - oh, oh, oh Without love, you're not really you - oh, baby All night long she spoke to me She whispered in my ear Beneath that sweet, soft melody She said, "Don't you know that a rich man A rich man that might be poor If money is all that he has" Without love, there's nothing you can do - oh, oh, oh Without love, you're not really you - oh, baby And all night long she spoke to me She whispered in my ear Way beneath that sweet, soft melody And this is what she said She said, "Hey, baby, don't you know that a rich man A rich man that might be poor If money is all that he has" Baby, without love, there's nothing you can do - oh, oh, oh Without love, you're not really you - oh, oh, oh
