Thomas James "Tom" Snyder (May 12, 1936 – July 29, 2007) was an American television personality, news anchor, and radio personality best known for his late night talk shows The Tomorrow Show, on the NBC television network in the 1970s and 1980s, and The Late Late Show, on the CBS Television Network in the 1990s. Snyder was also the pioneer anchor of the primetime NBC News Update, in the 1970s and early 1980s, which was a one-minute capsule of news updates in primetime.
Snyder had loved radio since he was a child and at some point changed his field of study from pre-med to journalism. He once told Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reporter Tim Cuprisin that broadcasting became more important to him than attending classes, and he skipped a lot of them. Snyder began his career as a radio reporter at WRIT (unrelated to the present-day FM station) in Milwaukee and at WKZO in Kalamazoo (where he was fired by John Fetzer) in the 1950s. For a time he worked at Savannah, Georgia, AM station WSAV (now WBMQ).
While Kimball was a brilliant draftsman, he preferred to work on comical characters rather than realistic human designs. Animating came easily to him and he was constantly looking to do things differently. Because of this, Walt Disney called Ward a genius in the book The Story of Walt Disney. While there were many talented animators at Disney, Ward's efforts stand out as unique.
KISS On The Tomorrow Show with Tom Snyder {Uncut/HQ}
KISS appeared on "The Tomorrow Show with Tom Snyder on October 31st, 1979. Called "The Halloween Special". It would be the most loved and also the last interview of all 4 original members of KISS on TV. The chemistry between the members of KISS is "strained" to say the least.
This video print came from the original broadcast tape. With blank spots for network commercials Some local stations edited the interview to get more commercials played to make more money. Not with this great quality print! This is complete and uncut! It is by far, the best version available to view on You Tube!
I added the scene from "KISS Meets The Phantom Of The Park" which was cut from the European version "Attack Of The Phantoms". The clip came from my laser disc which is wht the quality is superb. I may ...

Jonathan Katz & Tom Snyder - Dr. Katz - 1998 Peabody Award Acceptance Speech
Winner 1998 | Comedy Central, Tom Snyder Productions, Inc., Popular Arts Entertainment, HBO Downtown Productions
Nowadays, it seems that any comedian with a small following is fated to have his or her own television program. Most of these efforts are mediocre, some achieve excellence, a few even win Peabodys. So far, this is the first reported instance of a comedian making a successful transition from comedy club to “squigglevision.” Dr. Katz: Professional Therapist is the brainchild of comedian Jonathan Katz and partner Tom Snyder, who serve as writers and executive producers, along with co-producers Nancy Geller, Tim Braine, Kevin Meagher, Niki Hebert, Loren Bouchard, and supervising producer John Fisher. The program centers on the life of Dr. Katz, a psychiatrist with his own problems, especially his under-achieving son, and a parade of celebrities, comedians, actors, whose eccentricities—real and imagined—send them to Katz’s couch. The best part of this program may be the hilarious banter between Dr. Katz and his son Ben, voiced by H. Jon Benjamin. Theirs is an all-too-believable bond between generations that never quite lives up to either’s expectations. But it might be a mistake to read too much into Dr. Katz: Professional Therapist. It is simply a dependable, reliable half-hour of hilarity, which has the additional benefit of saving millions of viewers the high cost of psychoanalysis. For so doing, it is presented with the Peabody Award.

Disney Family Album | Ward Kimball | Disney Animator | Legend | Imagineer | Disneyland | Walt Disney
The Disney Family Album was an original documentary series produced by The Disney Channel in the mid 1980’s. Episodes aired from June 1984 until January 1986 with each episode running about 30 minutes.
For this episode of SamsDisneyDiary, I’m highlighting the second episode in the series, Ward Kimball. From a tour of Ward’s full size train in his backyard, stories of vacationing with Walt, reminiscing about the Firehouse 5 Plus 2, or his amazing toy collection, Ward covers his thoughts behind animating the Three Caballeros and the creating of Jiminy Cricket. It’s an amazing 30 minute journey into the mind of a remarkable man.

I may upload the entire film if this clip gets good comments and many "likes".
I have much more great quality rare KISS footage I may upload. I am testing the waters with this upload!
I am not attempting to misuse any copyright. This video and it's audio have been uploaded for entertainment purposes only! Both are absolutely in accordance with "fair use" standards (Section 107 of the U.S. Copyright act).

This was the final show of 'The Late Late Show with Tom Snyder' that aired on 3/26/1999. Dennis Miller was the final and guest and interview. This contains the whole show except the final segment (excluded due to copyright issues for a song that was used).
Tom Snyder (1936 - 2007) was an American pioneering television personality and figure in broadcast journalism who brought a no non-sense attitude to broadcast television news. He was best known for his late nigh talk shows Tomorrow (NBC) and The Late Late Show with Tom Snyder (CBS). His engaging style combined with his irascible attitude, made him one of the best known journalists of his time, back when having a nationally televised and thought provoking late night talk show actually meant something. It was a totally different time in television, as the news was delivered as information with no spin or opinion of the newsman. He marked the end of an era.

Thanks..
Dave guests on Tom Snyder's "Tomorrow" show four days before his morning show is cancelled. The show would remain in production for another month. Note the last question for Tom from an audience member before Dave comes out.
With an audience shot of Gerard Mulligan and, later, Brian McAloon as the bartender.
Thanks for C. Bay for the video.
This is re-upped after the bird network blocked it earlier this week.
Over the course of six years, Dave would call in to Tom Snyder's radio and television talk shows with an alias name and character.
1. October 5, 1990, ABC Radio: Dave as "Jerry from Tipton, Indiana." Tom had guested on Late Night the previous day.
2. October 25, 1990, ABC Radio, with guest Helen Reddy: Dave as "Jerry from Tipton, Indiana." Dave had earlier taped via satellite a short appearance on "Sunday Night with Larry King," which aired three days later.
3. February 2, 1994, cable talk show, with guest Bill Carter*: Dave as "Don from Kokomo, Indiana."
4. December 1, 1994, cable talk show, with guest Calvert DeForest**: Dave as "Jerry from Tipton, Indiana." Calvert was Tom's final guest on his CNBC show. He'd return on the air January 9, 1995, to debut his Late Late Show on CBS, following Dave's Late Show. "Jerry" makes a reference to Tom still auditioning for the job.
5. February 3, 1995, Late Late Show with Tom Snyder, with guest Larry King: Dave as "Elliot from Gas City, Indiana." Tom's new show on CBS was less than a month old when Dave called.

The Tom Snyder Project: Trying to find and share previously hidden Tom Snyder gems.
This episode of "Tomorrow with Tom Snyder" featured an interview with film director, producer and actor Orson Welles and aired April 8, 1975.
From July 29, 2007, here are various news clips about the death of veteran broadcaster Tom Snyder. I am SO glad that I have an entire "Tomorrow" Show on tape from 1976 (and of course, it's posted on YouTube!). The first news story here, from NBC, also mentions the deaths of film director Ingmar Bergman and Football Hall of Fame coach Bill Walsh.

Joe Barbera with partner William Hanna ..The two men began a collaboration that was at first best known for producing Tom and Jerry and live action films. In 1957, after MGM dissolved their animation department, they co-founded Hanna-Barbera, which became the most successful television animation studio in the business, producing programs such as The Flintstones, Yogi Bear, Scooby-Doo, Top Cat, The Smurfs, Huckleberry Hound and The Jetsons. In 1967, Hanna-Barbera was sold to Taft Broadcasting for $12 million, but Hanna and Barbera remained head of the company until 1991. At that time, the studio was sold to Turner Broadcasting System, which in turn was merged with Time Warner, owners of Warner Bros., in 1996; Hanna and Barbera stayed on as advisors.
Hanna and Barbera won seven Academy Awards and eight Emmy Awards. Their cartoon shows have become cultural icons, and their cartoon characters have appeared in other media such as films, books, and toys. Hanna-Barbera's shows had a worldwide audience of over 300 million people in the 1960s and have been translated into more than 20 languages.
On June 22, 1988, Bill Hanna and Joe Barbera appeared on Tom Snyder's radio show on the ABC Radio Network to discuss their careers in producing animated films for both film and television. Includes two network commercials.
