"There She Goes" is a song co-written and performed by American contemporary R&B musician Babyface, issued as the lead single from his sixth studio album Face2Face. Produced and co-written by The Neptunes, it was the first single Babyface released that he did not produce himself. The song peaked at #31 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2001.
"There She Goes" is a song by English rock band, The La's and written by the band's frontman Lee Mavers.
In May 2007, the NME magazine placed the song at number 45 in its list of the 50 Greatest Indie Anthems Ever.
Lyrics and meaning
Structurally, the song is very simple and contains no verses, only a single chorus repeated four times and a bridge. The song borrows from The Velvet Underground's "There She Goes Again", particularly the accents that separate the choruses.
"There She Goes" has gained a reputation for being about the use of heroin, possibly as a result of the lines: "There she goes again... racing through my brain... pulsing through my vein... no one else can heal my pain". Several newspapers ran articles about The La's and their apparent ode to heroin. When asked about the rumour in 1995, the group's bassist John Power replied: "I don't know. Truth is, I don't wanna know. Drugs and madness go hand in hand. People who you've known all your life... they're steady, then they're not. But you can't ponder, 'cause it kills you, la." However, in the book In Search of The La's: A Secret Liverpool (2003) by MW Macefield, ex-La's guitarist Paul Hemmings denied the rumour and added: "Jeremy Fisher, you don't know what you are talking about." In an interview with the BBC, lead guitarist for the single John Byrne also denied the rumour, stating: "It’s just a love song about a girl that you like but never talk to."
"There She Goes" is a song by English singer-songwriter Taio Cruz from his third studio album, TY.O. The track was released physically and digitally as the album's third single on April 20, 2012 in Germany. The song features vocals from American rapper, pop singer-songwriter and record producer Pitbull. The track was later selected to be released as the album's third single in the United Kingdom, being released on June 25, 2012. However, the British release of the track does not feature Pitbull. The track peaked at #12 on the UK Singles Chart.
Music video
The official music video for "There She Goes" was uploaded to Cruz' official YouTube channel on May 16, 2012, at a total length of three minutes and thirty-nine seconds. The video does not feature Pitbull and does not feature his vocals as well. It involves Cruz entertaining a woman in a diner out in the middle of the desert, before taking her across country to a posh nightclub, where the pair perform the song together. It also features a number of mysterious motorcycle riders who drive around Cruz in a parking lot, and a flare display across the desert skyline.
Goes was founded in the 10th century on the edge of a creek: de Korte Gos (the Short Gos). The village grew fast, and in the early 12th century it had a market square and a church devoted to Mary Magdalene. In 1405 Goes received city rights from William, Duke of Bavaria, by his right as count of Holland, and in 1417 it was allowed to build town walls. The prosperity of the city was based upon the cloth industry and the production of salt. In the 16th century Goes declined. Its connection to the sea silted up and in 1554 a large fire destroyed part of the city.
In Autumn 1572, during the course of the Eighty Years' War, Goes, in the Spanish Netherlands, was besieged by Dutch forces with the support of English troops. The siege was relieved in October 1572 by Spanish Tercios, who waded across the Scheldt to attack the besieging forces. In 1577 the Spanish soldiers who occupied Goes were driven out by Prince Maurits of Nassau. The prince built a defence wall around Goes, which is still partly standing. From the 17th century Goes did not play an important role, except as an agricultural centre. In 1868 a railway was constructed through it, but this did not lead to industrialisation. Agriculture remains the most important economic activity.
GOES-L was launched aboard an International Launch ServicesAtlas IIA rocket, flying from Space Launch Complex 36A at the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station. The launch occurred at 07:07 GMT on 3 May. The launch was originally scheduled for 15 March 1999, however it was delayed to allow the Eutelsat W3 satellite to be launched first. Following this, it was rescheduled for 15 May. On 30 April, the Centaur upper stage of a Titan IV(401)B failed during the launch of USA-143. Since a version of the Centaur was also used on the Atlas II, the launch of GOES-L was delayed a week to ensure that the same problem would not affect its launch. Less than five days after the Titan failure, a Delta III failed to launch Orion 3. The failure occurred during the second stage restart, and as the Delta III and Atlas II both used RL10 engines on their second stages, this resulted in a further delay.
