The movie stars Kimberly Page, her then husband Diamond Dallas Page and Michael Patrick Larson. The plot was set in the future in the United States. Corporations rule America and the daughter of a wealthy CEO, Sylvia Heinrich (Kimberly Page), cooks up a scheme with her boyfriend, David Sands (Larson), to fake her kidnapping and to leave the country with the ransom money.
They involve a mercenary, Lenny (Diamond Dallas Page) to assist but then things start to go haywire and greed begins to rear its ugly head. Sylvia's father, Winston (Tim McNally) does not want to pay a ransom and adds his thugs to the mix.
A confidence trick (synonyms include confidence game, confidence scheme, scam and stratagem) is an attempt to defraud a person or group after first gaining their confidence, used in the classical sense of trust. Confidence tricks exploit characteristics of the human psyche such as dishonesty, honesty, vanity, compassion, credulity, irresponsibility, naïveté and greed.
Terminology
The perpetrator of a confidence trick (or "con trick") is often referred to as a confidence (or "con") man, con-artist, or a "grifter". The first known usage of the term "confidence man" in English was in 1849 by the New York City press, during the trial of William Thompson. Thompson chatted with strangers until he asked if they had the confidence to lend him their watches, whereupon he would walk off with the watch. He was captured when a victim recognized him on the street.
A confidence trick is also known as a con game, a con, a scam, a grift, a hustle, a bunko (or bunco), a swindle, a flimflam, a gaffle or a bamboozle. The intended victims are known as "marks", "suckers", or "gulls" (i.e. gullible). When accomplices are employed, they are known as shills.
After losing everything, Hyun-soo (Park Yong-ha) spends five years glued to the computer screen as an unshaven, full-time "ant" (individual investor). He eventually reaches the top of the game after a painful diet of instant noodles and sacrificing the cost of three luxury sedans. He vows to quit once and for all when he achieves his goal, a nine-digit savings account that will support his mother and studious younger brother.
One day he hits the jackpot, not knowing that there are repercussions to disrupting a stock market scam. He ignites the fury of Hwang Jong-gu (Park Hee-soon), a gangster-turned-financier bidding for entry into the top percentile of the rich and powerful. A fresh mobster persona, Hwang feigns elegance in his initialized Italian shoes, only to resort to kicking people for dramatic effect. He also begins every sentence with an `"OK" even though he cannot tolerate the full English phrasings of his Korean-American partner.

This video is an opinion and in no way should be construed as statements of fact. Scams, bad business opportunities, and fake gurus are subjective terms that mean different things to different people. I think someone who promises $100K/month for an upfront fee of $2K is a scam. Others would call it a Napoleon Hill pitch.
The plaintiff started dating the defendant after meeting online, but after they got engaged, she constantly accused him of cheating. He’s suing his ex-fiancée for unreturned property. The defendant says she and the plaintiff got engaged a month after they met, but she called off the wedding. She’s countersuing for rent and car rental fees. #JudgeMathis #RealityTV #Court

I know that you're an artist, but you're the hardest one to deal with. Everything that you conceal is revealed on your canvas. You find all of your ugly meanings in all of the things I find beautiful. Do you see the fall is coming? Come, I'm falling into you. You perceive all of these things I'd never have known. Love, will you turn off the lights? we're already home. You painted me in pastel, colors that don't tell of any boldness. That's the way you'd love to see me: so delicate, so weak, so little purpose. But your eyes are drawn of charcoal they're black, they're so cold, they're so imperfect. Because they see a sleeping world, where waking isn't worth it. You perceive all of these things that I'd never have known. Love, will you turn off the lights?
