Pierino Ronald "Perry" Como (May 18, 1912 – May 12, 2001) was an American singer and television personality. During a career spanning more than half a century, he recorded exclusively for RCA Victor for 44 years after signing with the label in 1943. "Mr. C.", as he was nicknamed, sold millions of records for RCA and pioneered a weekly musical variety television show, which set the standards for the genre and proved to be one of the most successful in television history. Como was seen weekly on television from 1949 to 1963, then continued hosting the Kraft Music Hall variety program monthly until 1967. His television shows and seasonal specials were broadcast throughout the world. Also a popular recording artist, Perry Como produced numerous hit records; his combined success on television and popular recordings was not matched by any other artist of the time. Como's appeal spanned generations and he was widely respected for both his professional standards and the conduct in his personal life. In the official RCA Records Billboard magazine memorial, his life was summed up in these few words: "50 years of music and a life well lived. An example to all." Composer Ervin Drake said of him, "... [o]ccasionally someone like Perry comes along and won't 'go with the flow' and still prevails in spite of all the bankrupt others who surround him and importune him to yield to their values. Only occasionally."
Perry Como was Perry Como's 26th LP album for RCA Records, released in 1980.

Como (Italian pronunciation: [ˈkɔːmo],locally: [ˈkoːmo];Lombard: Còmm; Latin: Novum Comum) is a city and comune in Lombardy, Italy. It is the administrative capital of the Province of Como.
Its proximity to Lake Como and to the Alps has made Como a tourist destination and the city contains numerous works of art, churches, gardens, museums, theatres, parks and palaces: the Duomo (seat of Diocese of Como), the Basilica of Sant'Abbondio, the Villa Olmo, the public gardens with the Tempio Voltiano, the Teatro Sociale, the Broletto (the city's medieval town hall) and the 20th century Casa del Fascio.
With 215,320 arrivals, in 2013 Como was the fourth most visited city in Lombardy after Milan, Bergamo and Brescia.
Como was the birthplace of many historical figures, including the poet Caecilius mentioned by Catullus in the 1st century BCE, writers Pliny the Elder and the Younger, Pope Innocent XI, scientist Alessandro Volta, and Cosima Liszt, second wife of Richard Wagner and long-term director of the Bayreuth Festival.
Conduit Ltd. is an international software company which currently sells a DIY mobile app platform that enables small and medium-sized businesses to create, promote and manage their mobile apps. The new brand name Como was originally Conduit Mobile. The company started in 2005 in Israel and reinvented itself in 2013, spinning off the website toolbar business that made it the largest Israeli Internet company at the time.
The company's main product is Como, a mobile development platform that allows users to create native and web mobile applications for smartphones. About one million apps have been created, reaching about ten million daily visitors as of June 2014. App creation for its App Gallery is free and it charges a monthly subscription fee to place apps on the Apple Store or Google Play.
The company sold its Conduit website toolbar product in 2013 and no longer offers toolbars, the business that initially brought it to prominence.
Conduit was founded in 2005 by Shilo, Dror Erez, and Gaby Bilcyzk. Between years 2005 and 2013, it run a successful but controversial toolbar platform business (see main article Conduit toolbar).

Perry Como may have been a clean-living, straight-laced crooner, but it doesn't mean his life was always as peaceful as his music. Despite a marriage that lasted until death did them part, and a career that earned his family riches that would extend wealth down multiple generations, Como experienced some tragedies in life that would break a more fragile person. From the loss of someone close to him, to career setbacks that could have ended his career, Como managed to stay the course and keep singing until the very end. From a career that began before the second World War, to a life that ended in the new millennium, here are tragic details about Perry Como. #PerryComo #Celeb #Musician A hard knock life | 0:00 Growing up fast | 1:10 Paying his dues | 2:11 Fork in the road | 3:00 Gimmicks ...

Perry sings "Magic Moments" with The Ray Charles Singers on an edition of "The Perry Como Show" from 1958.
This is an ultra rare colour kinescope recording of the Perry Como Show which aired in living colour on NBC on 12th April 1958. Colour kinescope film recordings of 50s colour TV shows are very rare opposed to the common B&W kinescopes so this is one of very few known examples to survive. I actually downloaded this video from here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eMNKFDfyH_U and did a colour correction edit to get the colours looking closer to the original and re-upload it for the viewer to see it in better quality, the original upload as seen the picture is very reddish which is a common problem with old colour film stocks after they degrade with age.
This is an episode of the Perry Como Show from the 1950's. It is a great example of television from that time period. It also shows the significant influence tv cigarette advertizing had in the 1950's and 1960's. And it shows how little people knew about the effects of smoking back then.

I hate to see, that evenin' sun go down!
I hate to see, that evenin' sun go down!
'Cause my baby, gone and left this town!
Feelin' tomorrow, just like I feel today,
If I'm feelin' tomorrow, just like I feel today,
I'll pack my trunk, and make my get-away!
I went to the Gypsy, to get my fortune told,
Yes, I went to the Gypsy, to get my fortune told,
I asked the Gypsy, "What does the future hold?"
Gypsy told me, "Don't you wear no black!"
Hmmm! The Gypsy told me, "Don't you wear no black!" ( No black! )
"Go to St. Louis, and you can win her back!"
St. Louis woman, with her diamond rings,
Pulls this man around by her apron strings,
If it wasn't for powder and for store-bought hair,
That gal I love wouldn't h've gone nowhere, nowhere!
I got the St. Louis Blues, just as blue as I can be,
'Cause that gal's got a heart, like a rock cast in the sea,
Or else she wouldn't have gone so far from me!
I love that gal like a school boy loves his pie,
Like a Kentucky Colonel loves his mint an' his rye,
I love that gal, yes I love that gal,
Yes, I love that gal . . .
Until . . . the day . . . I die!
