Pacific Ocean
The Pacific Ocean is the largest of the Earth's oceanic divisions. It extends from the Arctic Ocean in the north to the Southern Ocean (or, depending on definition, to Antarctica) in the south and is bounded by Asia and Australia in the west and the Americas in the east.
At 165.25 million square kilometers (63.8 million square miles) in area, this largest division of the World Ocean—and, in turn, the hydrosphere—covers about 46% of the Earth's water surface and about one-third of its total surface area, making it larger than all of the Earth's land area combined.
The equator subdivides it into the North Pacific Ocean and South Pacific Ocean, with two exceptions: the Galápagos and Gilbert Islands, while straddling the equator, are deemed wholly within the South Pacific. The Mariana Trench in the western North Pacific is the deepest point in the world, reaching a depth of 10,911 metres (35,797 ft).
The eastern Pacific Ocean was first sighted by Europeans in the early 16th century when Spanish explorer Vasco Núñez de Balboa crossed the Isthmus of Panama in 1513 and discovered the great "southern sea" which he named Mar del Sur. The ocean's current name was coined by Portuguese explorer Ferdinand Magellan during the Spanish circumnavigation of the world in 1521, as he encountered favourable winds on reaching the ocean. He called it Mar Pacifico, which in both Portuguese and Spanish means "peaceful sea".

The Pacific Ocean (band)
The Pacific Ocean was an American indie rock band formed in 1996 and based in New York City.
Edward Baluyut had left Versus in 1996 due to work and family commitments and had played drums for Connie Lovatt's band Containe that year. Shortly afterward, Connie and Edward formed The Pacific Ocean. They released their debut EP Birds don't think they're flying on Enchanté Records that same year with Edward playing both drums and guitar on the album, Lovatt on bass and lead vocals, and Patrick Ramos (his replacement in Versus) playing drums on one track. Several other songs were recorded around this time as well, though they would not be released until 1999.
Drummer Steve Pilgrim joined the group in 1997, and the band played numerous shows in New York City and around the east coast, and toured with both Versus and The Magnetic Fields. In 1999 the band released the full-length Less Than the Needle, More Than the Shotgun, co-produced by Edward's brother James Baluyut. Their third and final album, So Beautiful and Cheap and Warm was released by TeenBeat Records in 2002. This album was produced by Bill Callahan (aka Smog) under the alias of Johnny Appleseed and featured additional guitar by Alan Licht.

The Atlantic Ocean is saltier and denser than the Pacific Ocean, creating a rough margin along its waters called Halocline. Não há muita informação sobre eles, mas o ator Edward James Olmos (Miami Vice, Battlestar Galactica, Mayans MC, séries de TV e filmes como Blade Runner, entre outros) interpreta / canta o álbum principal. A maioria das músicas são covers, exceto por duas delas. Este álbum de 1968 se quebra como uma pedra quente com esse impulso emotivo.
O início do som é ótimo. "I Can't Stand It" a melhor parte são os vocais, principalmente os Back-Vocals, o rosnado Lead-Vocals é muito legal também. "99 1/2" tem um uso intensivo do órgão. "Road To Hell" e "My Shrink" são as únicas canções originais, em "Road To Hell" os vocais soam como Iggy Pop e o ritmo acelerado de "My Shrink" é muito bom, e tem um ótimo solo de guitarra no meio.
"16 Tons" originalmente por Merle Travis. Pacific Ocean
The Pacific Ocean is the largest of the Earth's oceanic divisions. It extends from the Arctic Ocean in the north to the Southern Ocean (or, depending on definition, to Antarctica) in the south and is bounded by Asia and Australia in the west and the Americas in the east.
At 165.25 million square kilometers (63.8 million square miles) in area, this largest division of the World Ocean—and, in turn, the hydrosphere—covers about 46% of the Earth's water surface and about one-third of its total surface area, making it larger than all of the Earth's land area combined.
The equator subdivides it into the North Pacific Ocean and South Pacific Ocean, with two exceptions: the Galápagos and Gilbert Islands, while straddling the equator, are deemed wholly within the South Pacific. The Mariana Trench in the western North Pacific is the deepest point in the world, reaching a depth of 10,911 metres (35,797 ft).
The eastern Pacific Ocean was first sighted by Europeans in the early 16th century when Spanish explorer Vasco Núñez de Balboa crossed the Isthmus of Panama in 1513 and discovered the great "southern sea" which he named Mar del Sur. The ocean's current name was coined by Portuguese explorer Ferdinand Magellan during the Spanish circumnavigation of the world in 1521, as he encountered favourable winds on reaching the ocean.
