The Enid - In The Region of the Summer Stars (1976 mastertapes first edition)
This is The Enid's first album, released on EMI Group Limited in 1976. This pressing is by BUK records, the Black Label pressing released in the UK the same year. A personal favorite of mine, you can find the other three classic period albums on my channel too. I intend no copyright infringement and only want to spread the amazing music Robert John Godfrey and co. have made throughout the years. In 2006, Robert John Godfrey announced a remarkable message: "During the course of the coming months, I shall be making the whole of The Enid catalogue freely downloadable on high quality MP3.

The Enid represents my life's work and I want it and what it contains to live on in those who warm to it. Having taken this decision it may well influence the way I think about The Enid and may drive me to do some more." Quoted from ProgRockMain article for the group.
While I am unsure if said MP3s are still available, I figured that YouTube would be the best outlet for getting The Enid's back catalogue to as many people who want to listen. I am a college freshman who got into The Enid about a year ago and their music captivated me from my first listen. I hope people like them as much as I do. With that said, if the band has any issue with my uploads of their music, please, let me know and I will remove anything and everything related about the band from my channel. Ideally, if these videos become popular, I would like to run ads on them with all revenue going to the band. Not only will people find some fantastic music but it will also help the band sustain as they are active to this moment.

Audio and Video Remastered by BrunoSamppa, 2022 - http://ko-fi.com/brunosamppa
Notes on this Remaster:
Video: A good amount of sharpness and unblur filters applied. Denoise analog dirt and digital compression artifacts
Audio: Stereo channels balanced, dB increased without compromise Dynamics. Distortion mitigated on high frequencies, Drums more upfront, Gentle Limiting.
This band deserves much more recognition. A combination of Classical and Rock, combined vast orchestral movements, exclusively classical instrumentation, rigourous construction completely well-written and romantic rock music led by composer Robert John Godfrey. The Enid are probably the top of the symphonic rock tradition.
His fellows founder-members, guitarists Stephen Stewart and Francis Lickerish providing melodic solos duos is the icing on the cake.
Hammersmith Odeon Friday 2nd March 1979
In the week before this concert took place, PYE Records decided to have the show videoed. The video was shot by Trillion using five cameras. Audio was recorded by Virgin Mobile, and the soundtrack has survived. The original individual camera tapes were wiped by Trillion after PYE decided not to pursue a video release. All that remained of the video was a rough mix of the show done on the night by the video company who had no idea of what to expect. This is a discovered VHS copy by the guitarrist Francis Lickerish.
Keyboards, Vocals – Robert John Godfrey
Keyboards – William Gilmour
Keyboards, Oboe – Tony Freer
Guitars – Francis Lickerish, Stephen Stewart
Drums, Percussion – Dave Storey
Bass – Terry Pack
