TSTC Lineman Rodeo: Showing off utility pole skills

More than 40 students competed at various tasks in Texas State Technical College's first-ever Lineman Rodeo on Wednesday in Waco, completing tasks such as speed climbs and changing out insulators while carrying 30 pounds of gear. Students were able to talk afterward with utility company representatives about career placement opportunities. TSTC officials said they intend to hold the competition each semester.
