‘Can the PM count to 100?’: Sussan Ley ejected from the chamber for ‘abuse of Standing Orders’
Deputy Liberal Leader Sussan Ley has been ejected from the chamber during Question Time for abuse of Standing Orders after asking Prime Minister Anthony Albanese if he was able to “count to 100”.
In a question posed to the Prime Minister, Ms Ley queried why the Reserve Bank met almost 100 times when the previous government was in office and raised interest rates once, while the RBA has met eight times during the Albanese government’s term and raised interest rates eight times.
“Using his economics degree, can the Prime Minister confirm that under the Coalition interest rates rose about one per cent of time, but under Labor they are rising 100 per cent of the time,” Ms Ley said in her question to Mr Albanese.

“We’re here for the small businesses that you come into this place and laugh at every single Question Time,” Ms Ley said during Question Time on Thursday.

The entire Labor government is demonising Australia’s gas industry, Deputy Opposition Leader Sussan Ley says.

Deputy Liberal Leader Sussan Ley has been ejected from the chamber during Question Time for abuse of Standing Orders after asking Prime Minister Anthony Albanese if he was able to “count to 100”.

The entire Labor government is demonising Australia’s gas industry, Deputy Opposition Leader Sussan Ley says.
“We’ve got a resource minister on the west coast … who is talking up carbon capture and storage, we’ve got an energy minister on the east coast, Ed Husic, who's saying it doesn’t work well, and he’s talking it down,” Ms Ley told Sky News Australia.
“Meanwhile, you’ve got an entire government that is demonising our gas industry.”
