Sunshine and Rain is the eleventh studio album by American country music artist, Connie Smith. The album was released in October 1968 on RCA Victor Records and was produced by Bob Ferguson. It was Smith's second and final studio released in 1968.
Background and release
Sunshine and Rain was Smith's second album released in 1968, but did not spawn any singles. The album included twelve tracks of newly recorded material by Smith, including a cover version of John Hartford's "Gentle on My Mind" and Jan Howard's "What Makes a Man Wander." The album's title track, "Just a Little Sunshine in the Rain" was included as the final track on the album. Sunshine and Rain was originally issued on a 12-inch LP album, with six songs on each side of the record. The album has not been reissued since its original release. The album was also recorded at the RCA Victor Studio in Nashville, Tennessee, between 1967 and early 1968. Upon its release in 1968, Sunshine and Rain peaked at #32 on the Billboard MagazineTop Country Albums chart, her lowest-charting album at that point.
"Sunshine and Rain" is a song written by Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis and recorded by American recording artist Alexander O'Neal. It is the sixth and final single from the singer's second solo album, Hearsay (1987). Following the successful chart performances of the Hearsay singles "Fake", "Criticize", "Never Knew Love Like This", and "The Lovers", and "(What Can I Say) To Make You Love Me", "Sunshine and Rain" was released as the album's sixth single, but it was the album's poorest selling single, peaking at #72 in the UK. The song had been performed live prior to the song's release with Level 42 at the Prince's Trust Gala on 25th July 1989. The song's title and time was edited for release as a single, with the album version being titled "Sunshine", and was just under a minute longer.
Enna[ˈɛnna]listen (Sicilian: Castrugiuvanni; Greek: Ἔννα; Latin: Henna and less frequently Haenna) is a city and comune located roughly at the center of Sicily, southern Italy, in the province of Enna, towering above the surrounding countryside. It has earned the nicknames belvedere (panoramic viewpoint) and ombelico (navel) of Sicily.
At 931m (3,054ft) above sea level, Enna is the highest Italian provincial capital. Until 1926 the town was known as Castrogiovanni.
History
Enna is situated near the center of the island; whence the Roman writer Cicero called it Mediterranea maxime, reporting that it was within a day's journey of the nearest point on all the three coasts. The peculiar situation of Enna is described by several ancient authors, and is one of the most remarkable in Sicily. The ancient city was placed on the level summit of a gigantic hill, surrounded on all sides with precipitous cliffs almost wholly inaccessible. The few paths were easily defended, and the city was abundantly supplied with water which gushes from the face of the rocks on all sides. With a plain or table land of about 5km in circumference on the summit, it formed one of the strongest natural fortresses in the world.

I would love to show you If you'll try to understand You need someone to lead you To the heaven in your hands You can try to make it on your own But if you ever change your mind Then you will never be alone Don't get left behind We can be together If you'd only realise The way to live forever Is to give away your life Wherever you go, always in my heart Forever with me, we would never be apart I want you to know, always on my mind Whatever you do I know that I have found no ordinary love So will you try to understand The love that I can give, will never be enough And I can never change your mind Don't get left behind
