On April 23, 2010, following the resignation of former head coach Steve Donahue, a press conference was held at Cornell University to officially hire Courtney as the next basketball coach. Courtney thanked Donahue for leading the University to three consecutive Ivy League titles, and mentioned that his first goal was to win a fourth. He also mentioned that while “no one thinks we're going to be that good next year," he told the team to "put no limits on what they can accomplish because [Courtney] certainly won't." Courtney's official title is Robert E. Gallagher '44 Head Coach of Cornell Men's Basketball.
Bill Courtney is an American football coach, and the CEO of Classic American Hardwoods, a lumber company headquartered in Memphis, Tennessee. He is the subject of the 2011 Oscar winning documentary, Undefeated, which chronicles his career as a high school football coach in the economically pressured area of Shelby County, Tennessee.
Early life
Courtney was born in Memphis, Tennessee on August 24, 1968 to William Bankhead Courtney, Sr. and Linda Shubert Courtney. He grew up in a single-parent household, being raised by his mother.
He enrolled at the University of Mississippi in 1986 on a 4-year academic excellence scholarship. While in school he joined the Sigma Nu fraternity, and served as Lieutenant Commander. During his tenure, he helped found the Charity Bowl in 1989. He was also a member of two academic honorary organizations – Psi Chi for Psychology and Sigma Tau Delta for English. Bill also began writing in school, and was a feature writer for The Daily Mississippian. He later became a weekly columnist. As a student, he played with the Ole Miss soccer club for two years. At Ole Miss, Bill received the first annual Chi Omega Service Award for Outstanding Community Involvement. Bill graduated from The University of Mississippi in 1991 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.
"Summer Holiday" was the twelfth, and last, episode of British sitcomThe Young Ones. It was written by Ben Elton, Rik Mayall, and Lise Mayer, and directed by Paul Jackson and Ed Bye. It was first aired on BBC2 on 19 June 1984.
Plot
The quartet have taken their final exams and are enjoying the summertime, although Vyvyan is bored and begins wanton violence and destruction. Rick suggests Botticelli to relieve the boredom, but his playing style proves too tedious and Vyvyan proposes cricket instead.
In the living room, Rick is given the role of stumps and Vyvyan is bowler to Mike's batsman. The first shot knocks out Neil as he enters the room; the second involves Vyvyan not releasing the ball and running straight for Rick, clouting him on the head. Mike suggests that Vyvyan obtain The Ashes for winning, which he promptly tries to do by setting Rick on fire. Neil reveals it is his birthday, much to the indifference of the others. The four decide to watch the television, but the channels are all closing down, infuriating Vyvyan who kicks the TV to pieces. Rick then learns of his parents' sudden death from Mike, who thought it unimportant to mention earlier.
The story concerns Don (Cliff Richard) and his friends (Hayes, Green and Bulloch) who are bus mechanics at the huge London Transport bus overhaul works in Aldenham, Hertfordshire. During a miserably wet British summer lunch break, Don arrives, having persuaded London Transport to lend him and his friends an AEC Regent III RT double-decker bus (and not a later Routemaster as often quoted). This they convert into a holiday caravan, which they drive across continental Europe, intending to reach the South of France. However, their eventual destination is Athens, Greece. On the way, they are joined by a trio of young women (Stubbs, Hart and Daryl) and a runaway singer (Lauri Peters), who initially pretends to be male, pursued by her mother (Ryan) and agent (Murton). The movie was a box-office hit, thus repeating the success of Cliff Richard's earlier film The Young Ones (1961).

Mark Twain Global Holiday Concert: Bellringers with Sara and Courtney
During the Global Holiday Concert on December 15, 2011, the Mark Twain Ringers played "Do you hear what I hear", accompanied by Sara and Courtney playing flutes. It was one of the nicest performances of the night, and a reflection of the great job that the music students are doing at school.

We're all going on a summer holiday. No more working for a week or two.Fun and laughter on a summer holiday. No more worries for me and you.For a week or two. We're going where the sun shines brightly. We're going where the sea is blue. We've seen it in the movies. Now let's see if it's true. Everybody has a summer holiday Doing things they always wanted to.So we're going on a summer holiday To make our dreams come true
