Island (stylized as iSLAND) is the fifth studio album by American hip hop duo G-Side. It was released by Slow Motion Soundz on November 11, 2011.
Reception
Evan Rytlewski of The A.V. Club gave the album a grade of B+, saying: "There are hundreds of rappers dwelling on the same themes of hustle and determination as Yung Clova and ST 2 Lettaz, including some that do so with nimbler flows and sharper wordplay, but there are few that match the duo's personality and conviction." Tom Breihan of Stereogum said: "Production team Block Beattaz has made another zoned-out polyglot music tapestry for them, sampling stuff like Joy Orbison and Tame Impala but grounding it in classic Southern rap thump."
Ōshima(大島) is an uninhabited island in the Sea of Japan, 50 kilometres (31mi) to the west from Matsumae town and therefore the westernmost point in Hokkaidō. It is part of the town of Matsumae in Matsumae District, Oshima Subprefecture in Hokkaidō, Japan. To distinguish Ōshima from other islands with the same name, it is sometimes known as Oshima Ōshima(渡島大島) or Matsumae Ōshima(松前大島).
At 9.73 square kilometres (3.76sqmi), Ōshima is the largest uninhabited island under Japanese sovereignty. The island is a double caldera with a scoria hill rising in the middle. It is the peak of two overlapping stratovolcanoes and their associated calderas, Mount Higashi and Mount Nishi. The highest peak, Mount Era(江良岳,Era-dake) at 737 metres (2,418ft), is part of a triple volcano. The peak rises close to 2,000 metres (6,600ft) from the sea floor. The island consists of mafic alkali and non-alkali volcanic rock, less than 18,000 years old.
On the south side of the island at Aidomari(北風泊,Aidomari), there are a lighthouse and a heliport operated by Japan Coast Guard.
American Student Assistance (ASA) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to help students successfully complete the financing and repayment of higher education by acting as a student loan guarantor. It is headquartered in downtown Boston, Massachusetts.
History
American Student Assistance was founded in 1956 under the name Massachusetts Higher Education Assistance Corporation (MHEAC). The organization began when a group of people approached Massachusetts local businesses for philanthropic donations with the idea of creating a pool of money to guarantee loans for higher education. MHEAC went on to become the nation’s first student loan guarantor. Its model of a student loan program—funded by local banks and insured by a non-profit organization—was replicated across the country and by 1965, there were 14 loan guarantors in the United States.
In 1990, the United States Department of Education designated MHEAC as the guarantor for Washington, D.C. By 1992, MHEAC had begun to expand its services nationwide, so the organization adopted a trade name of American Student Assistance to reflect that its services were available to U.S. student loan borrowers everywhere.
U.S. Route 60 has 25 current bannered routes. Of these, 20 are business routes, two alternate routes, one bypass route, and one truck route. US 60 has also had one additional business route, an additional bypass route, a temporary route, and another truck route (all now decommissioned).
Tonkawa business loop
Business US 60 in Tonkawa begins at an interchange on the north side of Tonkawa. It heads south in a concurrency with U.S. Route 77, then turns east on North Avenue. East of Tonkawa, the route turns back north to reunite with the main route.
Business US 60 in Ponca City begins at an interchange with US 60 and US 177 (the E. W. Marland Memorial Highway) and continues east down South Avenue. It turns north onto Pine Street, heading into the downtown area, east on Central, and north on Union Street. It turns east again onto Grand Avenue. At 14th Street, it turns south, forming a concurrency with U.S. Route 77. It rejoins the main highway in the southeast part of the city.
Storms generally lead to negative impacts on lives and property such as storm surge, heavy rain or snow (causing flooding or road impassibility), lightning, wildfires, and vertical wind shear; however, systems with significant rainfall can alleviate drought in places they move through. Heavy snowfall can allow special recreational activities to take place which would not be possible otherwise, such as skiing and snowmobiling.
