Lakeshore has a significant concentration of Franco-Ontarians, and is one of only three communities in Southern Ontario (excluding Eastern Ontario) where francophones, as a percentage of the community's population, exceed the provincial average of five per cent (the other two are Welland and Penetanguishene). In the 2011 census, 7.7% of the population reported French as their mother tongue, and 17.2% reported knowledge of both official languages. Lakeshore is also the site of a historic black community along the Puce River.
Communities
The town comprises the communities of Belle River, Comber, Deerbrook, Elmstead, Emeryville, Haycroft, Lighthouse Cove, North Woodslee, Pike Creek, Pleasant Park, Puce, Ruscom Station, South Woodslee, St. Joachim, Stoney Point, and Strangfield, as well as the far eastern section of Tecumseh.
Stoney Point is a neighborhood within the city limits of Tampa, Florida. As of the 2000 census the neighborhood had a population of 130. The ZIP code serving the area is 33629.
Geography
Stoney Point is surrounded by Tampa Bay on three sides and Sunset Park on the east. The neighborhood is part of the South Tampa district.
As of the census of 2000, there were 130 people and 50 households residing in the neighborhood. The population density was 4,585/mi². The racial makeup of the neighborhood was 99% White, 0% African American, 0% Native American, 0% Asian, 0% from other races, and none were from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were about 7% of the population.
There were 50 households out of which 38% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 74% were married couples living together, 6% had a female householder with no husband present, and none were non-families. 20% of all households were made up of individuals.
Stoney Point, also known as the Stoney Point Outcroppings or Chatsworth Formation, is a Los Angeles City park near the north end of Topanga Canyon Boulevard (State Route 27) in Chatsworth, Los Angeles, California, part of the city of Los Angeles. Stoney Point is a popular destination for hikers, equestrians and also with rock climbers because of its large boulders, which afford many opportunities to practice the sport of bouldering. The top of the rock formation offers excellent views of Chatsworth, the Santa Susana Mountains, Coyote Pass, and the entire San Fernando Valley.
Wildlife including coyotes, rattlesnakes, red tailed hawks, golden eagles, turkey vultures, rabbits, and skunks can all be found at Stoney Point. When visiting the park, dogs should be kept on a leash for their own safety and a watchful eye should be kept for africanized "killer" bees. http://www.dailybreeze.com/general-news/20080604/killer-bees-strike-injure-hiking-boy
Geology
Geologists know Stoney Point as the Chatsworth Formation, which are the giant rock outcroppings in Simi Hills. They are Upper Cretaceous outcroppings, which means they are more than 65 million years old. They originated in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, possibly on the continental shelf near Central America, or even near Baja California. They were formed by turbidity currents, giant “gravity slides” that deposited sand in the ocean at the depth of 4,000 to 5,000 feet. These turbidity currents were often “tens of miles in length and a half a mile or more in width” which explains the size of the mountains around the Chatsworth Formation, and makes them turbidites. In between this activity, in quiet times, silt from the ocean would settle on the formation, and because silt erodes more quickly, the different turbidity currents that formed the rock are visible.

The AMD Accelerated Processing Unit (APU), formerly known as Fusion, is marketing term for a series of 64-bit microprocessors from AMD designed to act as a CPU and graphics accelerator (GPU) on a single chip.
AMD announced the first generation APUs, Llano for high-performance and Brazos for low-power devices in January 2011. The second-generation Trinity for high-performance and Brazos-2 for low-power devices were announced in June 2012. The third-generation Kaveri for high performance devices was launched in January 2014, while Kabini and Temash for low-power devices were announced in summer 2013.
Although it doesn't use the name "APU", Intel Corporation produces CPU-GPU combinations like its Skylake that are architecturally very similar.
History
The AMD Fusion project started in 2006 with the aim of developing a system on a chip that combined a CPU with a GPU on a single die. AMD took a key step toward realising such a vision when it acquired the graphics chipset manufacturer ATI in 2006. The project reportedly required three internal iterations of the Fusion concept to create a product deemed worthy of release. Reasons contributing to the delay of the project include the technical difficulties of combining a CPU and GPU on the same die at a 45nm process, and conflicting views on what the role of the CPU and GPU should be within the project.

Melbourne Metro’s last suburban diesel service | The Stony Point line
Find out what it's like to travel on the last remaining diesel still operating on Melbourne's suburban rail network. The Stony Point line is a shuttle service linking Frankston and Stony Point with many stops on the route down the Mornington Peninsula.
First we'll need to catch an electric train from Flinders Street Station to Frankston and will make a brief stop to explore one of Melbourne's few remaining intersections where train and tram lines cross - the Glenhuntly Tram Square. The tram square is being removed as part of Melbourne's level crossing removal project.

A Moment in History: Battle of Stony Point
Let's go back to the American war for Independence and explore a lesser-known but vitally important battle in the American struggle for freedom against the British Empire. The battle took place after the American Army had been reborn under Baron von Steuben during the winter at Valley Forge, and it would be a showcase of the resolve and courage of the American Troops against the Mighty British Empire. Let's go back to 1779 and explore the Battle of Stony Point.

Welcome to the town of Stony Point, located in Rockland County, New York. In this video, I take you around my town and show you all of the sights and sounds you need to see if you come for a visit. There's so much around here to explore. I began filming for this video in December 2019, but primarily used footage from March to May 2020 due to the more beautiful scenery.

I finally had the chance to make a trip to the legendary Stoney Point bouldering area! It was super fun climbing there. I highly recommend you make a trip out there if you can!
In 2:16 I actually meant "Mid 20th century" instead of "Mid 90s", thanks to Alexander for pointing out the mistake!
