St Andrews (Latin:S. Andrea(s);Scots:Saunt Aundraes;Scottish Gaelic:Cill Rìmhinn) is a former royal burgh on the east coast of Fife in Scotland, 10 miles (16km) southeast of Dundee and 30 miles (50km) northeast of Edinburgh. The town is home to the University of St Andrews, the third oldest university in the English-speaking world and the oldest in Scotland. The University is an integral part of the burgh, and during term time students make up approximately one third of the town's population. St Andrews has a population of 16,680, making it the fifth largest settlement in Fife.
The town is named after Saint Andrew the Apostle. There has been an important church in St Andrews since at least the 8th century, and a bishopric since at least the 11th century. The settlement grew to the west of St Andrews cathedral with the southern side of the Scores to the north and the Kinness burn to the south. The burgh soon became the ecclesiastical capital of Scotland, a position which was held until the Scottish Reformation. The famous cathedral, the largest in Scotland, now lies in ruins.
The song "St. Andrews" features guest vocals from Alexisonfire's Wade McNeil. The songs "Until We Burn in the Sun (The Kids Just Want a Love Song)" and "Nico on the Night Train" are featured on a sampler from Dine Alone Records.
The album debuted at #2 on the Canadian Albums Chart, selling over 8,000 copies in its first week. The album was certified Gold by the CRIA in 2008 for sales of over 50,000 copies in Canada.

"Until We Burn in the Sun (The Kids Just Want a Love Song)" – 3:54
Constructed and opened in 1906 to replace the Muntz Street ground, which had become too small to meet the club's needs, the original St Andrew's could hold an estimated 75,000 spectators, housed in one grandstand and a large uncovered terrace. The attendance record, variously recorded as 66,844 or 67,341, was set at a 1939 FA Cup tie against Everton. During the Second World War, St Andrew's suffered bomb damage and the grandstand, housing a temporary fire station, burned down in an accidental fire. In the 1950s, the club replaced the stand and installed floodlights, and later erected a second small stand and roofed over the open terraces, but there were few further changes.
The ground became dilapidated: a boy was killed when a wall collapsed during rioting in the 1980s. When new owners took the club out of administration in 1993, they began a six-year redevelopment programme during which the ground was converted to an all-seater stadium to comply with the Taylor Report into safety at sports grounds, and all areas apart from the Main Stand were completely rebuilt. The seating capacity of the modern stadium is just over 30,000. It has function rooms suitable for business or social events and a club store selling Birmingham City merchandise. A 2004 proposal that the club should sell the ground and move into a multi-purpose City of Birmingham Stadium remains speculative. In 2013, the ground was listed as an Asset of Community Value under the Localism Act 2011.
The St Andrews Trophy is a biennial men's team golf tournament contested between teams of amateur golfers representing Great Britain & Ireland and Continental Europe. It takes its name from St Andrews in Scotland, which is colloquially known as the "Home of Golf". The competition was founded in 1955 and first played in 1956. It takes place in even numbered years (Great Britain & Ireland plays in the United States in the Walker Cup in odd numbered years). It is staged alternately in Great Britain & Ireland and on the Continent, and is organised by the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews and the European Golf Association. The St Andrews Trophy itself was presented by the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews in 1963.
The event comprises four morning foursomes followed by eight afternoon singles on two consecutive days. The players are predominantly young men in their late teens and early twenties who are working towards a career as professional golfers. Many leading European golfers have played in the St Andrews Trophy, for example Colin Montgomerie and José María Olazábal.
St. Andrews is an historical provincial electoral division in Manitoba, Canada. It existed on two separate occasions, and was located to the immediate north of Winnipeg, the capital city.
St. Andrews (original constituency)
When Manitoba joined Canadian Confederation in 1870, the St. Andrews region of the province was given two seats: St. Andrews North and St. Andrews South. It was consolidated into a single constituency following redistribution in 1879. In 1899, it was merged with the Kildonan constituency and Kildonan and St. Andrews.
The St. Andrews electoral division was initially dominated by anglophone "old settlers", who had resided in the Red River territory before it was incorporated as a province. Many of the old settlers were known as "mixed-bloods", referring to persons of British and aboriginal descent (the term was not considered offensive at the time). John Norquay, a "mixed-blood" leader who served as Premier of Manitoba from 1878 to 1887, represented St. Andrews in the provincial legislature for many years. Alfred Boyd, who is sometimes lists as Manitoba's first premier, also represented a St. Andrews constituency from 1870 to 1874.
Saint Andrew commonly refers to Andrew the Apostle, the Christian apostle and brother of Peter, or one of several saints named Andrew. St Andrew or St Andrews (Latin:San[c]tus Andrea) may also refer to:

The HARDEST Hole In Golf | 17th At St Andrews - Road | Open Moments
