Space Exploration and NASA Colonization Plans, Documentary on Our Future Voyages to the Universe
Is it time for another 'giant leap?'
In 2080, NASA scientists believe we can and must send people to Jupiter's and Saturn's moons.
Space Travel Timeline of NASA:
Exoplanet robotic missions and base camps on the Moon in the (late) 2020s.
A crewed mission to Mars is planned for the late 2030s.
Robotic missions to Tau Ceti (11.9 light-years away) in the 2030s.

Robotic missions to distant stars in the 2050s.
In the 2060s, a crewed mission will be launched to the Asteroid Belt between Mars and Jupiter.
Mission to Jupiter (probably Callisto because it is sufficiently removed from Jupiter's intense radiation fields) in the 2070s.

How Big is The Universe?
How Big is The Universe?
We begin at the familiar blue and green orb we call home and zoom out to explore the vastness of space. From the Moon, our closest cosmic neighbor, to the edges of the observable universe, prepare to be astonished by the sheer scale of everything that exists.
Travel with us as we venture past the Moon, understanding its distance in terms we can grasp. Witness the Sun, not just as a source of light, but as a milestone in the vastness of our solar system. We don't stop there; Mars, Neptune, and the outer reaches of our solar neighborhood await.
Discover the awe-inspiring distances to the Voyager 1 probe, the enigmatic Oort Cloud, and the neighboring star system of Alpha Centauri. As we sail through the Milky Way, understand our position in the grand scheme of thin...

Opening for TEDxIndianaUniversity was Xploration Outer Space producer and star, Emily Calandrelli’s tongue in cheek summary of why space exploration is actually a misguided and empty pursuit, upon which billions of dollars are wasted every year.
Emily Calandrelli is a producer and the host of FOX's Xploration Outer Space, a nationally syndicated educational program about the space industry. She is also a writer for TechCrunch where she covers
technology topics with a focus on commercial space companies.
Emily graduated from MIT with a Masters in Aeronautics and Astronautics and second Masters in Technology and Policy. While at MIT, Emily was awarded the Rene H. Miller Award for the best piece of Systems Engineering work in the AeroAstro department. She received her bachelors in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from West Virginia University. As an undergraduate, Emily received the Truman
Scholarship, Goldwater Scholarship, and placed on USA Today's All-USA Academic First Team.
Emily enjoys writing, speaking, and posting on her social media (@TheSpaceGal) on the topics of science literacy, space exploration, and equality in STEM fields.
This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at http://ted.com/tedx

Mission to Jupiter (probably Callisto because it is sufficiently removed from Jupiter's intense radiation fields) in the 2070s.
Crewed missions to Saturn's moons (likely Titan and/or Enceladus) in the 2080s.
We will conduct a crewed mission in 2250 to locate exoplanets such as Proxima Centauri (4.2 light years away).
In 2300, a robotic mission is launched to TRAPPIST-1, a system 40 light-years away.
A crewed mission to distant stars halfway to the Milky Way's center in the late 2400s.
Off-world colonization is a fascinating prospect, but it also carries a dire warning about humanity becoming a multi-world species.

As we sail through the Milky Way, understand our position in the grand scheme of things, where our entire history is just a whisper in the cosmic wind.
Our voyage takes us further, to the Local Group, Virgo Supercluster, and the staggering Laniakea Supercluster. We contemplate the Great Attractor's pull and our place in this immense heaven.
Confront the boundaries of the observable universe and ponder the mystery of what lies beyond. This video is not just a journey through space but a journey of perspective. Join us in marveling at the universe's grandeur and our humble place within it.
