Ed Sheeran - One Life (From Yesterday) live in Prague, Czech Republic, 8 July 2019
It's such a beautiful night, to make a change in our lives
East Anglian sky, empty bottle of wine
I got you by my side, talking about love and life
Oh how lucky am I, when I look in your eyes?
What a wonderful way, to spend a moment or two
To be lying awake, and be here talking to you
I got something to say, I know what I got to do
To be making a change, now the moment of truth
Why am I so nervous?
Things are going so perfect
I don't know if it's worth it
To spend forever with you
So I count to three, get down on one knee
And I ask you, darling honestly
I've waited all this time, just to make it right
So I ask you, tonight, will you marry me?
Just say yes
It's one word, one love, one life
A gentle touch of the hand, fingers running through hair
Lips pressed to my lips, oh I was caught ...

Borstal Boy
Brendan Behan, a sixteen year-old republican, is going on a bombing mission from Ireland to Liverpool during the second world war. His mission is thwarted when he is apprehended, charged and imprisoned in Borstal, a reform institution for young offenders in East Anglia, England. At Borstal, Brendan is forced to live face-to-face with those he perceived as "the enemy," a confrontation that reveals a deep inner conflict in the young Brendan and forces a self-examination that is both traumatic and revealing. Events take an unexpected turn and Brendan is thrown into a complete spin. In the emotional vortex, he finally faces up to the truth.

Yanis Varoufakis: "The Global Minotaur: America, Europe and the Future of the Global Economy" (Zed Books, London, 2013)
In this remarkable and provocative book, Yanis Varoufakis explodes the myth that financialisation, ineffectual regulation of banks, greed and globalisation were the root causes of the global economic crisis. Rather, they are symptoms of a much deeper malaise which can be traced all the way back to the Great Crash of 1929, then on through the 1970s: the time when a 'Global Minotaur' was born. Just as the Athenians maintained a steady flow of tributes to the Cr...

the band.
Hand Clappin, Foot Stompin, Funky Butt Live was in the album charts for
48 weeks of the year 1966 and it was only out-sold by The Sound of Music
and Bridge Over Troubled Water!
The tracks presented here are NOT MY RIPS. They were downloaded
off Napster on April 6, 2001... as you can see from the track listings they
do not match. Does anyone know the original order of the songs?
As you can see, I am still MISSING a few of these tracks, like
RIDE YOUR PONY, RESPECT, UPTIGHT etc.
If ANYONE can help with these I would be SOOOO grateful!
MORE INFO:
Initially stationed in England for the U.S. Air Force during the early 1960s,
American soul shouter Geno Washington fronted a British group known as the
Ram Jam Band for a series of moderate U.K. chart hits during 1966-1967.
Though he was born in Indiana, Washington had the grit of a deep soul testifier
like Wilson Pickett or Don Covay. While stationed in East Anglia, Washington became
known as a frequent stand-in at gigs around London. When guitarist Pete Gage saw
him at a club in 1965, he asked Washington to join his new group with bassist
John Roberts, drummer Herb Prestige, organist Jeff Wright, Lionel Kingham on
tenor sax, and Buddy Beadle on baritone.
Geno Washington stayed in England after his release from the Air Force, and
the band earned notice around the Southeast for an infectious live show that
packed dozens of up-tempo R&B/soul nuggets into a half-hour. Signed to Piccadilly
by early 1966, the group just broke into the Top 40 with "Water." Though it
was their highest-charting single, Geno Washington and the Ram Jam Band hit
the charts three times in the next year with "Hi-Hi Hazel," a cover of
"Que Sera Sera," and "Michael." The band's first two LPs --
Hand Clappin' Foot Stompin' Funky-Butt...Live! and Hipsters, Flipsters,
Finger-Poppin' Daddies! -- were much better documents of the band at work, and
both hit the British Top Ten. Still, Geno Washington recorded only two more
albums with the Ram Jam Band before splitting by 1970. Gage went on to join
Vinegar Joe, while Washington returned in 1976 with Geno's Back! Four years
later, Washington earned his only number one hit (of a sort), when Dexys
Midnight Runners took the tribute track "Geno" to the top of the charts.
He recorded another LP (Put Out the Cat) in 1981, and continued to tour
sporadically during the '80s and '90s, often incorporating a blues stance
as well as a hypnotism act. ~ John Bush, All Music Guide
Geno Washington - vocals (born Evansville, Indiana)
Pete Gage - guitar
Lionel Kingham - saxophone
Buddy Beadle - saxophone
Jeff Wright - organ
John Roberts bass guitar
Herb Prestidge - drums
Another person's comments:
An exciting live act who unfortunately could not duplicate their dynamism and
immediacy on record and hence failed to make much impact on the charts.
Washington was a US serviceman stationed in East Anglia, he became so well known
as an impromptu performer in London's clubs that when Pete Gage needed a singer
to front his new band in 1965 he asked Geno. So it was that on his release from
the US Airforce, he became a professional singer.
The group earned their reputation as the hottest, hardest working soul show in
the UK through a gruelling, unbroken series of live performances throughout the
country.

Animal Equality has carried out an undercover investigation into East Anglian Pig Company, which is the third largest pig meat producer of the UK. EAP is a member of Freedom Food and is audited and monitored by Assured Food Standards (AFS). Over 120 hours of footage and recorded conversations, as well as 281 photos, provide a truly shocking insight into the so called high standards of the British pig industry.
The Animal Equality investigator documented the misery of pigs at The East Anglian Pig Company, specifically:
• Sickly piglets were killed by blunt force trauma. These animals were grasped by their hind limbs and brutally whipped head-first multiple times against a hard surface. In some instances, where the animals did not die following the blunt force head trauma, a worker tried to suffocate the piglets by placing his hand on the animal's muzzle and then placing his foot over the throat.
• Extreme confinement within sow stalls and farrowing crates resulted in the pigs being subject to extreme movement restrictions, as they were unable to turn around.
• Stereotypies were readily observed. Female pigs were frequently observed bar-biting, and one pig demonstrated excessive swaying behaviour.
• Pigs appeared to suffer significant injuries. Deep abrasions were evident on the backs of some individuals, and several piglets were lame or paraplegic, probably as a result of spinal trauma.
• Piglets appeared to have abrasions and ulcerative lesions on their joints. Such wounds can lead to secondary infections as a result of bacterial and ammonia contamination from the environment, further perpetuating the condition.
• Several dead piglets were present in the farrowing crates, most likely to be the result of crushing from their mothers.
• Piglets were beaten in the head with an iron bar, and an adult lame pig was shown with a twine muzzle over the snout. The animal was struggling and clearly suffering.
• Several amputated tail segments were observed as a result of tail docking, which was carried out as a routine procedure. Tail docking in commercial piggery units is normally performed on young piglets without the use of anesthetic and can be a highly painful procedure.
•Workers moved adult pigs by kicking them and one female pig was repeatedly slapped and punched across her sensitive muzzle and head.
• Weaners were thrown aggressively around by their fragile limbs.
•A worker grabbed an adult pig by his tail for restraint whilst cutting and hacking the caudal thigh. The animal was not afforded any sedation or anesthesia.

Poor Quality :( cause of dim lighting, sun set faster than i thought it would :p haha
[Verse 1]
It's such a beautiful night, to make a change in our lives
East Anglian sky, empty bottle of wine
I got you by my side, talking about love and life
Oh how lucky am I, when I look in your eyes?
[Verse 2]
What a wonderful way, to spend a moment or two
To be lying awake, and be here talking to you
I got something to say, I know what I got to do
To be making a change, now the moment of truth
[Pre-Chorus]
Why am I so nervous?
Things are going so perfect
I don't know if it's worth it
To spend forever with you
[Chorus]
So I count to three, get down on one knee
And I ask you, darling honestly
I've waited all this time, just to make it right
So I ask you, tonight, will you marry me?
Just say yes
It's one word, one love, one life
[Verse 3]
A gentle touch of the hand, fingers running through hair
Lips pressed to my lips, oh I was caught unaware
Oh so many times, I gazed in both of her eyes
What a beautiful way to spend the rest of a life
[Verse 4]
Sun will reappear, burning auburn and red
My chest as a pillow, green grass for a bed
Last night was the night, one last moment of truth
What a wonderful way, to fall in deeper in with you
[Pre-Chorus]
Why am I so nervous?
Things are going so perfect
I don't know if it's worth it
To spend forever with you
[Chorus]
So I count to three, get down on one knee
And I ask you, darling honestly
I've waited all this time, just to make it right
So I ask you, tonight, will you marry me?

Yanis Varoufakis: The Global Minotaur: America, Europe and the Future of the Global Economy (book promotion)
Q&A: Marko Kostanić
Yanis Varoufakis: "The Global Minotaur: America, Europe and the Future of the Global Economy" (Zed Books, London, 2013)
In this remarkable and provocative book, Yanis Varoufakis explodes the myth that financialisation, ineffectual regulation of banks, greed and globalisation were the root causes of the global economic crisis. Rather, they are symptoms of a much deeper malaise which can be traced all the way back to the Great Crash of 1929, then on through the 1970s: the time when a 'Global Minotaur' was born. Just as the Athenians maintained a steady flow of tributes to the Cretan beast, so the 'rest of the world' began sending incredible amounts of capital to America and Wall Street. Thus, the Global Minotaur became the 'engine' that pulled the world economy from the early 1980s to 2008.
Yanis Varoufakis
Political economist and a professor at the University of Texas, Austin. After training in mathematics and statistics, Varoufakis received his economics doctorate in 1987 at the University of Essex. Before that he has allready began teaching economics and econometrics at the University of Essex and the University of East Anglia. From 1989 until 2000 he taught as Senior Lecturer in Economics at the Department of Economics of the University of Sydney. In 2000 he moved to his native Greece where he was Professor of Economic Theory at the University of Athens. He is an active participant in the current debates on the global and European crisis and the author of The Global Minotaur: America, the True Origins of the Financial Crisis and the Future of the World Economy (2011).
