A snapshot is popularly defined as a photograph that is "shot" spontaneously and quickly, most often without artistic or journalistic intent. Snapshots are commonly considered to be technically "imperfect" or amateurish—out of focus or poorly framed or composed. Common snapshot subjects include the events of everyday life, such as birthday parties and other celebrations, sunsets, children playing, group photos, pets, tourist attractions and the like.
Details
The snapshot concept was introduced to the public on a large scale by Eastman Kodak, which introduced the Browniebox camera in 1900. Kodak encouraged families to use the Brownie to capture moments in time and to shoot photos without being concerned with producing perfect images. Kodak advertising urged consumers to "celebrate the moments of your life" and find a "Kodak moment".
The "snapshot camera" tradition continues with inexpensive point-and-shootdigital cameras and camera phones that fully automate flash, ISO, focus, shutter speed, and other functions, making the shooting of a good-quality image simple. Expert photographers, who are better able to control the focus point, may use shallow depth of field to achieve more pleasing images by blurring the background and making the subject stand out. Other photographers consider these cameras the purest form of photographic instrument in providing images with the characteristics that distinguish photography from other visual media - its ubiquity, instantaneity, multiplicity and verisimilitude.
The science of photography refers to the use of science, such as chemistry and physics, in all aspects of photography. This applies to the camera, its lenses, physical operation of the camera, electronic camera internals, and the process of developing film in order to take and develop pictures properly.
Law of Reciprocity
The law of reciprocity describes how light intensity and duration trade off to make an exposure—it defines the relationship between shutter speed and aperture, for a given total exposure. Changes to any of these elements are often measured in units known as "stops"; a stop is equal to a factor of two.
Halving the amount light exposing the film can be achieved either by:
Closing the aperture by one stop
Decreasing the shutter time (increasing the shutter speed) by one stop
Cutting the scene lighting by half
Likewise, doubling the amount of light exposing the film can be achieved by the opposite of one of these operations.
The luminance of the scene, as measured on a reflected light meter, also affects the exposure proportionately. The amount of light required for proper exposure depends on the film speed; which can be varied in stops or fractions of stops. With either of these changes, the aperture or shutter speed can be adjusted by an equal number of stops to get to a suitable exposure.
Snapshot is a live album by Boston-based band Mission of Burma. It was recorded in front of a small audience at Boston's Q Division Studios for broadcast on WFNX. It was initially released exclusively through the iTunes Store, but has since been made available through other online channels, most notably in lossless FLAC format through Matador Records' online store .
In professional wrestling double-team maneuvers are executed by multiple wrestlers instead of one and typically are used by tag teams in tag team matches. Many of these maneuvers are combination of two throws, or submission holds. Most moves are known by the names that professional wrestlers give their "finishing move" (signature moves that usually result in a win) names. Occasionally, these names become popular and are used regardless of the wrestler performing the technique. Moves are listed under general categories whenever possible.
Aided moves
These moves involve one wrestler actually performing the move to an opponent. An ally of the attacker will do something to make the move more effective. For example, a wrestler could perform a DDT on an opponent. However, an ally could lift the opponent' feet off the ground first, making it an Aided DDT, a much more effective variation of the move.
Aided brainbuster
An aided brainbuster sees one wrestler help another wrestler perform a brainbuster, usually by putting their own weight behind the move to increase its impact.

Japanese Style Photography, the art of Moriyama Daido
Moriyama Daido (森山大道 born 1938), is an incredibly important Japanese photographer who brought Japanese sensibilities to photography as he has documented the changing world around him for the last 5 decades. His stunning work is more like a trip through faded memories and so much more than initially meets the eye.
Please use my Amazon links below if you are interested in purchasing any of the featured Moriyama Daido books. His books can be expensive and difficult to find, so I will update these links as I find better options and prices.

Arthur Elgort, the fashion snapshot photographer • FRANCE 24 English
BBefore he arrived on the scene, fashion photography was stuck in a rut, endlessly repeating the stale poses of the 1950s. But US photographer Arthur Elgort turned all that on its head in the early 1970s when he started his long collaboration with Vogue. Today, at 82 years old and despite suffering a stroke, he's still working. We caught up with him in central Paris, where the Azzedine Alaia Foundation is dedicating an exhibition to him. The two fashion giants worked closely over the course of decades and were close friends.
