Siargao

Siargao is a tear-drop shaped island in the Philippine Sea situated 800 kilometers southeast of Manila in the province of Surigao del Norte. It has a land area of approximately 437 square kilometers. The east coast is relatively straight with one deep inlet, Port Pilar. The coastline is marked by a succession of reefs, small points and white, sandy beaches. The neighboring islands and islets have similar landforms.

The island is composed of municipalities of Burgos, Dapa, Del Carmen, General Luna, San Benito, Pilar, San Isidro, Santa Monica and Socorro.

Geography

Siargao is situated at a coordinate of 9°52′N 126°03′E / 9.867°N 126.050°E / 9.867; 126.050.

Siargao Island contains the largest mangrove forest reserves in Mindanao, at Del Carmen. Long stretches of wetlands indicate a potential for commercial seaweed propagation. Siargao Island is greatly influenced by the winds and currents coming uninterrupted from the Pacific Ocean, intensified by the Mindanao current running westward through the Siargao Strait.

  On this vlog, me and my wife were welcomed, fed and looked after by a random family in Siargao. The best time visit Siagao is from March onwards. The rain still comes randomly this time of the year (December - March). And when we sat off to explore the island it rained heavily along thr way. We got San Isidro Pacifico and the lovely Espiel family offered their hut for us to shelter in. They were having lovely family time, eating, drinking and just having fun. On this vlog, me and my wife were welcomed, fed and looked after by a random family in Siargao. The best time visit Siagao is from March onwards. The rain still comes randomly this time of the year (December - March). And when we sat off to explore the island it rained heavily along thr way. We got San Isidro Pacifico and the lovely Espiel family offered their hut for us to shelter in. They were having lovely family time, eating, drinking and just having fun. They offered us some drinks (tanduay and red horse) and food (banana, fresh grilled fish, papaya) they cooked. We did not realise hours passed by and we were having amazing time with them. They also invited us to visit their home for a bit as it's only around the corner. I was emotional leaving them as I have never experience a hospitality like that before. They didn't had much and they still offered us more than what we need when they didn't had to. We had great chats too. They even asked us to stay if needed to. On the way home, we stopped by coconut plantation to also lighten up the mood. The human drones are amazing in taking shot. On this vlog, me and my wife were welcomed, fed and looked after by a random family in Siargao. The best time visit Siagao is from March onwards. The rain still comes randomly this time of the year (December - March). And when we sat off to explore the island it rained heavily along thr way. We got San Isidro Pacifico and the lovely Espiel family offered their hut for us to shelter in. They were having lovely family time, eating, drinking and just having fun. They offered us some drinks (tanduay and red horse) and food (banana, fresh grilled fish, papaya) they cooked. We did not realise hours passed by and we were having amazing time with them. They also invited us to visit their home for a bit as it's only around the corner. I was emotional leaving them as I have never experience a hospitality like that before. They didn't had much and they still offered us more than what we need when they didn't had to. We had great chats too. They even asked us to stay if needed to. On the way home, we stopped by coconut plantation to also lighten up the mood. The human drones are amazing in taking shot. Siargao

Siargao is a tear-drop shaped island in the Philippine Sea situated 800 kilometers southeast of Manila in the province of Surigao del Norte. It has a land area of approximately 437 square kilometers. The east coast is relatively straight with one deep inlet, Port Pilar. The coastline is marked by a succession of reefs, small points and white, sandy beaches. The neighboring islands and islets have similar landforms.

The island is composed of municipalities of Burgos, Dapa, Del Carmen, General Luna, San Benito, Pilar, San Isidro, Santa Monica and Socorro.

Geography

Siargao is situated at a coordinate of 9°52′N 126°03′E / 9.867°N 126.050°E / 9.867; 126.050.

Siargao Island contains the largest mangrove forest reserves in Mindanao, at Del Carmen. Long stretches of wetlands indicate a potential for commercial seaweed propagation. Siargao Island is greatly influenced by the winds and currents coming uninterrupted from the Pacific Ocean, intensified by the Mindanao current running westward through the Siargao Strait.
