Filter Self-Oscillation: What and Why?
Filter self-oscillation occurs as a result of resonance (a type of feedback) taking the electrical "noise" inherent in a synthesizer and feeding it back right at the filter's frequency cutoff point, resulting in a pure sine wave of that frequency. It can be useful as an additional analog oscillator on your synth and gives you another way to go about making music. In particular it can be useful for kick drums, basses, and sound effects, as well as giving you variations of noise. You can also blend the filter's self-oscillation with your existing oscillators.

How To Get The Karma Police Outro Sound (Self Oscillating Delay)
I've been learning Karma Police and practicing the outro in which a delay pedal (Radiohead is known to use the Boss Space Echo) is used to get that distorted oscillation sound. It's hard to explain in simple words, so I made this video to show it instead.
If you wanted to do this yourself, all you would need is a delay pedal that can self oscillate (has enough repeats to stack up and distort), preferably a tape-style delay for it to sound right.

Montauk's strong waves make it an ideal location for such technology. This initiative not only addresses the need for sustainable energy but also promotes community empowerment. By decentralizing electricity generation, it reduces dependence on centralized grids. Local communities benefit from increased resilience and self-sufficiency, especially during power outages. Moreover, the Wave Oscillation Station serves more than just an energy purpose. Its programmable features allow customization for local needs, such as boat launches and fishing activities, making it an important asset to the community.
In the studio, our task revolved around delving into various mediums of architectural representation. Specifically for this project, the focus shifted towards expressing the technology through audio-visual means. We aimed to capture the essence of the innovation through a sensory experience. Picture the sounds of the ocean crashing against the coast, the gentle whispers of wind dancing through the grasses of the newly formed wetland, and most notably, the rhythmic hum of the station as it pulsates with life, generating electricity. Unreal Engine 5 was utilized to capture this unique experience.
