Left Behind: The Kids (stylized as LEFT BEHIND >THE KIDS<) is a series written by Jerry B. Jenkins, Tim LaHaye, and Chris Fabry. The series consists of 40 short novels aimed primarily at the young adult market based on the adult series Left Behind also written by Jerry B. Jenkins. It follows a core group of teenagers as they experience the rapture and tribulation, based on scriptures found in the Bible, and background plots introduced in the adult novels. Like the adult series, the books were published by Tyndale House Publishing, and released over the 7 year period of 1997-2004. The series has sold over 11 million copies worldwide.

Books
There are 40 books in total for the series, which have also been released in some territories as collected volumes, mirroring the number of books in the adult series. The collected volumes have each background plots from their adult series counterparts. Also, LaHaye and Jenkins with Chris Fabry in 2000 wrote A Kids Guide to Understanding the End Times, which helps readers of the series to understand the end times events, similar to Are we Living in the End Times? by the original authors. Unlike the original Left Behind series, there are no prequel or sequel novels written by the authors.
"Breaker, Breaker", "Second Chance", "Dig a Little Deeper" and "May Seem Macabre" were released as singles, the latter as a radio-only single. "Second Chance", which was released on January 24, 2011, is perhaps best known as the opening theme of the American television sitcom 2 Broke Girls. The US tour for Gimme Some was notable for being characterised by free food being provided at each show by a catering company local to the city the band were playing at, tying in with some lyrics and themes of the album's main thematic song "Down Like Me". Live performances from this era were characterised by a back-to-basic, punk-like energy that came as a result of an effort by the band to revert to a more stripped-down sound after the electronic, layered compositions of their previous album Living Thing. Three singles were released from the album: "Breaker Breaker", "Second Chance", and "Dig a Little Deeper". "May Seem Macabre" was also promoted for radio circulation. The band also created a music video in collaboration with Pitchfork.TV of the entire album.
"Second Chance" is a song recorded by Faber Drive. It was released in February 2007 as the lead single from their debut album, Seven Second Surgery.

First attempt: A young man gets hit with a newspaper, on which "Groundhog Day Party" is written as the headline. At the last minute he remembers he has a date, but leaves the house without his wallet. He and his date get to the door of a club but as he doesn't have money to pay admission, his date is forced to pay for him. To make matters worse, people throw their food at her, and it ruins her dress. At the end of the night, he tries to kiss her, but she slaps him.
Second attempt: The man gets hit with the newspaper again, and proceeds to get dressed. This time he remembers to bring his wallet and pays for entry into the club. When he tries to put his arm around his date, she rejects it. Her dress still gets ruined by the people who threw food at them. They shake hands at the end of the date.
Third attempt: The man catches the newspaper and gets dressed faster and into nicer clothes than on his previous attempts. He also takes his wallet and an umbrella with him. Rather than trying to put his arm around his date, he keeps his hands to himself until she grabs his hand to get closer to him. When the food is thrown at the club, he uses his umbrella to block it and save her. When he takes her home at the end of the night, she pulls him into her house.

Agenda for Change (AfC) is the current National Health Service (NHS) grading and pay system for all NHS staff, with the exception of doctors, dentists and some senior managers. It covers more than 1 million people and harmonises their pay scales and career progression arrangements across traditionally separate pay groups, in the most radical change since the NHS was founded.
It came into operation on 1 December 2004, following agreement between the unions, employers and governments involved.
Job evaluation
The AfC system allocates posts to set pay bands by giving consideration to aspects of the job, such as the skills involved, under an NHS Job Evaluation Scheme. There are nine numbered pay bands subdivided into points, similar to the old alphabetic Whitley Council 'grades' pay scales. A set of national job profiles has been agreed to assist in the process of matching posts to pay bands. All staff will either be matched to a national job profile, or their job will be evaluated locally. In theory, AfC is designed to evaluate the job rather than the person in it, and to ensure equity between similar posts in different areas. In reality it has been implemented differently in different places, and some posts have been graded very differently from similar jobs elsewhere, despite the supposedly tighter definitions. Around 5% of staff have appealed their gradings, but again the appeals process varies from site to site. Current indications suggest that lower bandings are being used in London and Scotland than elsewhere in the country.
