Schlachtbeschreibung (English edition: The Battle) is a 1964 German novel by Alexander Kluge. The novel is a historical account of the battle of Stalingrad in the form of an experimental montage of materials, including diary entries, government reports, and interviews.
Both men had previously fought on April 12 and emerged victorious, thus clearing the way for a July 26 match between the two boxers. It was Cotto's first fight in Las Vegas since December 2004. According to promoter Bob Arum, the bout took place in Las Vegas to promote Cotto to a new audience while also appealing to Margarito's Mexican American fans in California. Cotto entered the fight as The Ring magazine's #1 ranked boxer in the welterweight division and #6 in their pound-for-pound rankings. Margarito entered the match as The Ring magazine's #4 ranked welterweight. Press conferences were held in Mexico, Los Angeles, New York City, and Puerto Rico to promote the world title bout.
A battle or battaile was a medieval military formation, analogous and ancestral to the modern term battalion. In late medieval warfare, field armies were often drawn up into three main battles, also called guards: the vanguard, the middle guard, and the rearguard, often abbreviated to simply the van, middle, and rear. These terms imply, correctly, that the van preceded the middle, which in turn preceded the rear, into battle if the battles were arranged sequentially as a column. If arranged abreast, the van was on the right and the rear the left.

With each character, their weapon was decided upon before other aspects were. The design was then built to revolve around it, starting with gender, then physical measurements, and lastly background details. Once established, appearance and movement were fleshed out by the team's concept artist and rendered as a 3D model by a design team that worked solely on the character. The completed model was then animated by a motion capture artist working directly with the team. During this phase the team additionally worked with the story creators, refining the character's own role in the plot as needed throughout development. In the course of the series, two characters have been an exception to the process: Johan Druer, a berserker exclusive to the Soulcalibur Japanese player's guide, and Necrid, a character co-produced with Todd McFarlane that appears in Soulcalibur II.

If we were invincible If we could never die Then all the world could rise against us And we'd dare to fight Caught myself before I fall I see through all the reasons we are letting go Even if this day won't come I'll burn a thousand moons just to light a single sun And now the darkest hour collides With our unguarded lives If we were invincible If we could never die Then all the world could rise against us And we'd dare to fight Dare to fight Nothing left to fearwe could never fallso alivehead full of firewe'd be invincible This storm up there it knows my name It calls from a sea of light When the soldiers look away And now we stand at heaven's door But we're just mortals Can we face another war? And now the darkest hour collides With our unguarded lives If we were invincible If we could never die Then all the world could rise against us And we'd dare to fight Dare to fight Nothing left to fearwe could never fallso alivehead full of firewe'd be invincible
