Highway 32 is a highway in southwestern Saskatchewan, connecting Leader and Swift Current. It is about 140km (87mi) long, connecting several rural communities along the route including Abbey, Cabri, Cantaur and Success.
History
The first travel in this area was by foot, and two wheeled ox cart and horse drawn freight wagon using trails on the sod. The first train arrived in Lancer in 1913. The late 1920s and 1930s saw the automobile arrive to a few families in the area.
Maintenance
The winter of 2000 saw 6.4 resurfaced on this highway. The road west of Cabri to the east of Shackleton was repaired.
In 2005, 10.1kilometers were resurfaced. Construction work began at on highway 32 at the entrance to Success and continued west for 10.1km. Wheel ruts and surface detoriation were levelled and filled and a microsurface treatment was put into place to restore resistance to skidding.
The highway has become infamous for its extremely poor condition, which can primarily be attributed to a substandard pavement design (not built for heavy trucks in the mostly agricultural and oil-producing area) and claims of lack of maintenance. The condition of the route is so bad that ambulances are avoiding the route as much as possible.
AR 126 begins Brownsville at AR 92 and heads northwest to Rushing, where it meets AR 9. The route continues north to AR 66 in Timbo then AR 14 near Big Flat, where the route terminates.
Saskatchewan (i/səˈskætʃəwᵻn/ or /səˈskætʃəˌwɑːn/) is a prairieprovince in Canada, which has a total area of 651,900 square kilometres (251,700sqmi) and a land area of 592,534 square kilometres (228,800sqmi), the remainder being water area (covered by lakes/ponds, reservoirs and rivers). Saskatchewan is bordered on the west by Alberta, on the north by the Northwest Territories, on the east by Manitoba, and on the south by the American states of Montana and North Dakota. As of December 2013, the population of Saskatchewan was estimated at 1,114,170. Residents primarily live in the southern half of the province. Of the total population, 257,300 live in the province's largest city, Saskatoon, while 210,000 live in the provincial capital, Regina. Other major cities include Prince Albert, Moose Jaw, Yorkton, Estevan, Swift Current, and North Battleford.
Saskatchewan is a landlocked province with large distances to moderating bodies of waters. As a result, its climate is extremely continental, rendering severe winters all throughout the province. Southern areas have very warm or hot summers. Midale and Yellow Grass near the U.S. border are tied for the highest ever recorded temperatures in Canada with 45°C (113°F) observed at both locations in July 1937. In winter, temperatures below −45°C (−49°F) are possible even in the south during extreme cold snaps.
The Saskatchewan River (Cree: kisiskāciwani-sīpiy, "swift flowing river") is a major river in Canada, about 550 kilometres (340mi) long, flowing roughly eastward across Saskatchewan and Manitoba to empty into Lake Winnipeg. Through its tributaries the North Saskatchewan and South Saskatchewan, its watershed encompasses much of the prairie regions of central Canada, stretching westward to the Rocky Mountains in Alberta and northwestern Montana in the United States. It reaches 1,939 kilometres (1,205mi) to its farthest headwaters on the Bow River, a tributary of the South Saskatchewan in Alberta.

Visiting 200 feet Wooden Tower in -25 Degrees|Height of Land|Saskatchewan|Canada
I know the vlog is really long; however I tried to keep it as natural as I can and also shared how hard it gets in cold temperatures!!!
At the Height of Land tower you are standing on the divide where waters to the North flow into Churchill River and waters to the south flow into the Saskatchewan River.
At the top of the 15 metre you are 100 meters higher than the Waskesiu; you can see King Island, Shady Lake and Beartrap Creek. Golden aspen, icy-blue waters, fresh green foliage and sparkling snow greet you in different seasons. Come at night for a break-taking view of twinkling starts.

Although named for the city, the park's main entrance is actually 80 km (50 mi) north of Prince Albert via Highways 2 and 263 which enters the park at its southeast corner. Two additional secondary highways enter the park, No. 264, which branches off Hwy. 2 just east of the Waskesiu townsite, and No. 240, which enters the park from the south and links with 263 just outside the entry...

The park ranges in elevation from 488 m (1,601 ft)[citation needed] on the western side to 724 m (2,375 ft)[citation needed] on the eastern side.
The hamlet Waskesiu Lake is the only settlement within the park, located on the southern shore of the same-named lake. Most facilities and services one would expect to find in a multi-use park are available.
The park also contains the cabin of naturalist and conservationist Grey Owl, on Ajawaan Lake.
The development of the park as a recreation destination has led to the region immediately southeast of the park boundaries – locations such as Christopher Lake, Emma Lake, Sunnyside Beach, and Anglin Lake, themselves becoming popular recreation destinations. Additional development has taken place just beyond the park's eastern entry.
Until the establishment of Grasslands National Park in the 1980s, this was the province's only national park. (wikipedia)
