Sarah Buxton (born July 3, 1980, in Lawrence, Kansas) is an American country music singer, formerly signed to the independent Lyric Street Records. Between 2006 and 2008, she issued three singles from an extended play titled Almost My Record, in addition to co-writing her song "Stupid Boy", which was later recorded by Keith Urban. She released her self-titled debut album in early 2010, led off by the Top 25 single "Outside My Window," shortly before Lyric Street Records closed. Shortly afterward, she began performing with Jedd Hughes as the short-lived duo Buxton Hughes before forming Skyline Motel.

Sarah Buxton was born July 3, 1980 in Lawrence, Kansas. She became actively involved in music as a child by learning piano, playing flute and joining a children's choir. As she learned more about music, she became interested in songwriters and began writing poetry. After graduation, she met one of her musical idols, Stevie Nicks, who encouraged her to pursue music and move to Nashville, Tennessee.

Buxton was born in Brentwood, California. She lives in Beverly Hills with her husband, actor Shane Brolly. The couple married on November 27, 2006. On December 20, 2006, Sarah gave birth to the couple's first child, a boy named Finn Michael Brolly.
Career
She was a competitive gymnast in her youth, until being "discovered" at the grocery store when she was about 15. She is primarily known for her work on the television soap operaSunset Beach, which aired on NBC from January 6, 1997 to December 31, 1999. Buxton was an original cast member and remained with the show for its entire run, playing the ever-plotting villain Annie Douglas Richards. After the demise of Sunset Beach, Buxton appeared on the soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful from 2000 to 2001 as the less than sane villainess Morgan DeWitt, and in 2005, she returned to that role. In addition, she played a minor character, porn star Crystal Chablis, on the soap opera Days of Our Lives in 2004. Buxton has also appeared in several critically acclaimed movies such as The Climb and Little Children. She has guest starred on prime time shows such as CSI: Crime Scene Investigation,NYPD Blue and McBride.

History
Prior to its release, Buxton issued a six-song extended play entitled Almost My Record. This EP produced the singles "Innocence," "That Kind of Day" and "Space," all of which charted in the country music Top 40. Those three singles and two other tracks from the EP are included on this album, as is her fourth single, "Outside My Window." Buxton co-wrote ten of the eleven songs, including "Stupid Boy," which was previously released by Keith Urban as a single from his 2007 album Love, Pain & the Whole Crazy Thing.
The Hebrew name Sarah indicates a woman of high rank and is translated as "princess" or "noblewoman".
