Sanctification is the act or process of acquiring sanctity, of being made or becoming holy. "Sanctity" is an ancient concept widespread among religions. It is a gift given through the power of God to a person or thing which is then considered sacred or set apart in an official capacity within the religion, in general anything from a temple, to vessels, to days of the week, to a humanbeliever who willingly accepts this gift can be sanctified. To sanctify is to literally "set apart for particular use in a special purpose or work and to make holy or sacred." Etymologically, "sanctify" derives from the Latinverbsanctificare which in turn derives from sanctus "holy" and facere "to make".
Christianity
In the various branches of Christianity sanctification usually refers to a person becoming holy, with the details differing in different branches.
Anglicanism
A 2002 Anglican publishing house book states that “there is no explicit teaching on sanctification in the Anglican formularies”. A glossary of the Episcopal Church (USA) gives some teaching: “Anglican formularies have tended to speak of sanctification as the process of God's work within us by means of which we grow into the fullness of the redeemed life.” Outside official formularies sanctification has been an issue in the Anglican Communion since its inception.
What is sanctification? What is the definition of Christian sanctification? Is sanctification positional or progressive?

Charles Haddon (C.H.) Spurgeon (June 19, 1834 January 31, 1892) was a British Reformed Baptist preacher who remains highly influential among Christians of different denominations, among whom he is still known as the "Prince of Preachers." In his lifetime, Spurgeon preached to around 10,000,000 people, often up to 10 times a week at different places. His sermons have been translated into many languages. Spurgeon was the pastor of the New Park Street Chapel in London for 38 years. In 1857, he started a charity organization called Spurgeon's which now works globally. He also founded Spurgeon's College, which was named after him after his death.
Spurgeon was a prolific author of many types of works including sermons, an autobiography, a commentary, books on prayer, a devotional, a magazine, and more. Many sermons were transcribed as he spoke and were translated into many languages during his lifetime. Arguably, no other author, Christian or otherwise, has more material in print than C. H. Spurgeon.

DEAD! Always hunted always followed Hunted always hunted Ghost in the nights Lurking in the dark Hiding always following me Feel something near Running away, feeling so afraid Something in the unknown A sweep of cold air passes beside of me My skin curves as i freeze As like time stopped Whispering so quiet, I can't hear The voice come close I can hear Feel the knife, cut the spine Blood's pouring down, this is real! In the darkest tunnel Hunted by the unknown As i run in the darkness Scared for my life I fall upon my knees As he hovers over me As he drinks my blood
