TV Shows That Went Too Far Then Got Cancelled

Sophia the AI Robot Says The Darndest Things! HAS THE SINGULARITY HAPPENED? Artificial Intelligence
This video takes a look at Sophia, the A.I. robot made by David Hanson and Ben Goertzel of Hanson Robotics, as well as some other more ancient characters who were named “Sophia.” We’ll also take a look at the “Singularity,” an event of gargantuan proportions in which artificial intelligence will become as smart as (and thus begins the time when they begin to get smarter than) humans. You can get away with a lot on television these days, but there are still plenty of examples of TV shows that went too far. The definitions of obscene and inappropriate have relaxed a lot since television shows were first created. If you transported someone from the 1950s to watch today's television, they would be shocked and outraged by the amount of cursing you can get away with!
Still, even modern television has its rules. Today, American television, radio, and cable are all monitored by the Federal Communications Commission. It was founded in 1934 by President Franklin D. Roosevelt, and the organization has been governing television ever since. Of course, the definition of inappropriate has changed a lot over the years, and the FCC has become more relaxed over time. While many sitcoms and reality TV shows will do their best to sneak dirty jokes through the watchful eyes of FCC, there are just some things that go too far.
At the same time, while television has become more relaxed in some ways, we've also set a higher standard in others. For example, there are many older TV shows which used racist caricatures, something that would never fly today. As the world changes, people are finally recognizing that certain words, jokes, and actions can be extremely offensive, and even harmless, to other groups of people.
Television has also imposed more strict safety guidelines, both for the people involved on set, as well as any animals that might be involved.
Even with the rules we have, alongside more subtle rules of what's considered socially acceptable, there will always be people who try and get away with as much as they can. In today's video, we're going to look at 6 times that TV shows took things too far.
Make sure you stick around until the very end, where we'll reveal a TV show so tasteless that it was canceled after just the pilot. We hope you like this video, and don't forget to subscribe to Facts Verse for more!

We've gotten a lot of great TV shows this century, but we've also seen some pretty bad ones. For this list, we’ll be looking at the most abysmal live-action programs to appear on screens between 2000-21. We mainly focused on shows that either wasted a good premise or tried to make a terrible idea work. And we’ll be leaving out reality shows because they could have a list of their own. Our countdown includes "Cavemen" (2007), "Rob" (2012), "Inhumans" (2017), "Mulaney" (2014-15), and more! Which of these programs made you turn off the tv immediately? Hagia Sophia (/ˈhɑːɡiə soʊˈfiːə/; from the Ancient Greek: Ἁγία Σοφία, romanized: Hagía Sophía; Latin: Sancta Sophia or Sancta Sapientia, 'Holy Wisdom'), or the Ayasofya Mosque (Turkish: Ayasofya Cami) is a Late Antique place of worship in Istanbul that has served as a Greek Orthodox Christian patriarchal cathedral, a Roman Catholic cathedral, an Ottoman mosque, and a museum. Built in AD 537, during the reign of the Roman emperor Justinian I, it was then the world's largest interior space and the first to employ a fully pendentive dome. It is considered the epitome of Byzantine architecture[2] and is said to have "changed the history of architecture".[3]
Built as the Christian cathedral church of Constantinople between 532 and 537 on the orders of the Roman emperor Justinian I, the basilica was designed by the Greek geometers Isidore of Miletus and Anthemius of Tralles.[4] The present Justinianic building was the third church of the same name to occupy the site, the prior one having been destroyed in the Nika riots. Episcopal see of the ecumenical patriarch of Constantinople, it remained the world's largest cathedral for nearly a thousand years, until Seville Cathedral was completed in 1520. In 1204, it was converted by the Fourth Crusaders to a Roman Catholic cathedral under the Latin Empire, before being restored to the Eastern Orthodox Church upon the return of the Byzantine Empire in 1261. After the Fall of Constantinople to the Ottoman Empire in 1453,[5] it was converted to a mosque. In 1935, it was secularized into a museum.[6] In early July 2020, the Council of State annulled the Cabinet's 1934 decision to establish the museum, revoking the monument's status and a subsequent decree of the President of Turkey ordered the reclassification of Hagia Sophia as a mosque.[7][8]

Sofia (/ˈsoʊfiə/) (Bulgarian: София, Sofiya,[5][8]pronounced [ˈsɔfijɐ] ( listen)) is the capital and largest city of Bulgaria. The city has a population of 1.26 million, while over 1.5 million people live in its functional urban area. The city is located at the foot of Vitosha Mountain in the western part of the country, within less than 50 kilometres (31 mi) drive from the Serbian border. Its location in the centre of the Balkan peninsula means that it is the midway between the Black Sea and the Adriatic Sea, whereas the Aegean Sea is the closest to it.[9][10]
Sofia has been an area of human habitation since at least 7000 BCE.[3] Many of the major universities, cultural institutions and commercial companies of Bulgaria are concentrated in Sofia.[11] Sofia is one of the top 10 best places for start-up business in the world, especially in IT technologies.[12] Sofia is Europe's most affordable capital to visit as of 2013
For the longest time the city possessed[15] a Thracian name, derived from the tribe Serdi, who were either of Thracian,[5][9] Celtic,[16] or mixed Thracian-Celtic origin.[17][18] The Serdi and the name of emperor Marcus Ulpius Traianus (53 – 117 AD) prompted the Romans to give the city the combinative name of Ulpia Serdica;[19][20] Ulpia is derived from an Umbrian cognate of the Latin word lupus, meaning "wolf."[21] It seems that the first written mention of Serdica was made during his reign and the last mention was in the 19th century in a Bulgarian text (Сардакіи, Sardaki). During the Romans civitas Serdenisium was mentioned the "brightest city of the Serdi" in official inscriptions. The city was major throughout the past ever since Antiquity,[citation needed] when Roman emperor Constantine the Great referred to it as "my Rome", and it nearly became his capital.[15]
Other names given to Sofia, such as Serdonpolis (Σερδών πόλις, "City of the Serdi") and Triaditza (Τριάδιτζα, "Trinity"), were mentioned by Byzantine Greek sources or coins. The Slavic name Sredets (Срѣдецъ), which is related to "middle" (среда, "sreda") and to the city's earliest name, first appeared on paper in an 11th-century text. The city was called Atralissa by the Arab traveler Idrisi and Strelisa, Stralitsa or Stralitsion by the Crusaders
