In the 1960s and 1970s, Safeguard went by the informational-toned slogan of "A Soap For The Entire Family". However, their 1977-1984 "The Smallest Soap in the House" ad campaign would be their most memorable, as it included ads of people complaining of other family members using the soap so much that the soap was almost used up; the ending of each commercial featuring a brand-new Safeguard bar in soap suds that, using stop-motion animation, shrinks down to about 80% used up just before the voice-over says "The smallest soap in the house".
A liquid form of Safeguard designed for soap dispensers is also sold by P&G for the institutional market for use in public and workplace restrooms. Currently Safeguard produces an antibacterial bar soap.
In the World Trade Organization (WTO) system, a member may take a safeguard action, such as restricting imports of a product temporarily, to protect a domestic industry from an increase in imports causing, or threatening to cause, injury to domestic production.
Within the WTO, safeguard measures were available under the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT) (Article XIX). However, they were infrequently used, and some governments preferred to protect their industries through “grey area” measures (“voluntary” export restraint arrangements on products such as cars, steel and semiconductors). As part of the WTO deal, members gave up these “grey area” measures and adopted a specific WTO Safeguards Agreement which disciplines the use of safeguard measures.
Safeguard is a New Zealandmagazine devoted to occupational health and safety. It features articles and information on managing health and safety in the workplace and is aimed at employers in all industries and at health and safety professionals. The magazine was launched as a quarterly in 1988 by the Occupational Safety and Health Service (OSH) of the Department of Labour. It was subsequently taken over by a commercial company, Colour Workshop. Safeguard is now published bi-monthly by Thomson Reuters (Auckland).
The universe of the mangaBlame! created by Tsutomu Nihei is home to the following fictional characters and locations:
Main characters
Killy (霧亥 Kirii) is a main character of Blame!. He is tasked by an unknown agency with finding a human in the 32-AU radius Megastructure who still possesses the Net Terminal Gene, a genetic marker necessary for safe access to the Netsphere, from which the functions of the Megastructure may be controlled. He is equipped with a Gravitational Beam Emitter (GBE), a compact but powerful weapon capable of creating holes miles long in the Megastructure. He is soon joined by Cibo in his quest.
Cibo(シボ,Shibo) is the head scientist of the Bio-Electric Corporation in the Capitol and joins Killy on his quest for the Net Terminal Gene.
Other characters
Safeguard
The Safeguard are a program independent of the netsphere. The netsphere was designed as a means of providing service to those who could log on. However, the netsphere was thrown into chaos (the actual reason is not exactly known, but the prequel manga NOiSE implies that a small group of humans is at fault) and the Safeguard changed their modus operandi from preventing unauthorized users from entering the netsphere to killing off anyone who does not possess Net Terminal Genes. The Safeguard have nine levels of hierarchy, Level 9 being the most powerful. However, their Exterminator (originally the lowest level safeguard) system has a different form of hierarchy where "First Class" is the most powerful.
Soaps for cleansing are obtained by treating vegetable or animal oils and fats with a strongly alkaline solution. Fats and oils are composed of triglycerides; three molecules of fatty acids attach to a single molecule of glycerol. The alkaline solution, which is often called lye (although the term "lye soap" refers almost exclusively to soaps made with sodium hydroxide), brings about a chemical reaction known as saponification.
In this reaction, the triglyceride fats first hydrolyze into free fatty acids, and then these combine with the alkali to form crude soap: an amalgam of various soap salts, excess fat or alkali, water, and liberated glycerol (glycerin). The glycerin, a useful by-product, can remain in the soap product as a softening agent, or be isolated for other uses.
Soaps are key components of most lubricating greases, which are usually emulsions of calcium soap or lithium soap and mineral oil. These calcium- and lithium-based greases are widely used. Many other metallic soaps are also useful, including those of aluminium, sodium, and mixtures of them. Such soaps are also used as thickeners to increase the viscosity of oils. In ancient times, lubricating greases were made by the addition of lime to olive oil.

Background and compostion
"Soap" was premiered exclusively on ELLE magazine's website on July 10, 2015. The electropop, indie pop and bubblegum pop track was released as the second single from Melanie's debut album, "Cry Baby".
In the interview with ELLE, Melanie described the song, "Soap was written about my current boyfriend when we were first talking, I felt too scared to say how I felt about him and thought if I told him it'd be like throwing a toaster in his bath. So I washed my mouth out with soap. I think anyone can really relate to this song. I'm sure there was a time in everyone's life where they felt too scared to say how they felt so they 'washed their mouth out with soap'". She continued, "Everyone is allowed to be vulnerable. I think women and men and dogs and cats and ants and aliens can all express themselves and be vulnerable".
