International Space Station leaking air, yet NASA and Russian space agency disagree on severity
NASA, the US space agency, is worried an air leak at the International Space Station could lead to a catastrophic failure. Spacenews.com says NASA and its Russian equivalent Roscosmos disagree over the cause of the leak in the Russian part of the space station, and over how serious the problem is. Russian scientists believe the facility can still be operated safely.

Life Inside The International Space Station
Ever wondered what it’s like to work in space? The brave men and women of the International Space Station are truly a special breed, but at the end of the day they’re just regular people, going about their jobs.
So join us today as we shadow our higher ups and learn all about a day in the life of an ISS astronaut.
When hurtling around planet earth at 17,100 mph, standard human notions of day and night start to look pretty silly. In a normal 24 hour stretch, a typical ISS astronaut will see the sun rise, and set, 16 times in total. Human bodies did not evolve that way. So a regular 24-hour earth day is maintained up there, if nothing else to prevent the crew descending into a grim spiral of permanent crippling jet lag.

A tour of the International Space Station with Andreas Mogensen
On the last day of his Huginn mission, ESA astronaut Andreas Mogensen takes us on a tour of the place he called home for 6 months: the International Space Station. From the beautiful views of Cupola to the kitchen in Node 1 filled with food and friends and all the way to the science of Columbus, the Space Station is the work and living place for astronauts as they help push science forward.

Live views from the International Space Station are streaming from an external camera mounted on the station's Harmony module.
The camera is looking forward at an angle so that International Docking Adapter 2 is visible. During periods of signal loss due to handover between communications satellites, a blue screen is displayed.
The space station orbits Earth about 250 miles (425 kilometers) above the surface. An international partnership of five space agencies from 15 countries operates the station, and it has been continuously occupied since November 2000. It's a microgravity laboratory where science, research, and human innovation make way for new technologies and research breakthroughs not possible on Earth. More: https://go.nasa.gov/3CkVtC8
Did you know you can spot the station without a telescope? It looks like a fast-moving star, but you have to know when to look up. Sign up for text messages or email alerts to let you know when (and where) to spot the station and wave to the crew: https://spotthestation.nasa.gov

📼Video Summary:
The International Space Station (ISS) took over 10 years to construct. Most of the pieces were brought up and assembled by the Space Shuttle. There are two sides to the station - the Russian Orbital Segment and the United States Orbital Segment. On the US side - the modules are connected with the Common Berthing Mechanism or CBM for short. The Space Shuttle used it's robotic arm called the Canadarm - this could lift and move around objects in space. This video summarizes 4 shuttle missions at the beginning stages of construction. STS-88 brought up the Unity Module and attached it to the Russian module Zarya. STS-98 brought up the Destiny Module and attached it to the forward side of Unity. STS-100 brought up the Canadarm2 - which was crucial for constructing the station. STS-104 brought up the Quest Airlock and attached it to the side of the Unity. There is a lot more to the stations construction, maybe we'll cover that in a future video!
