CU. General Urquhart being asked question (natural sound): "If the army council changes its mind about the kilt would you change your mind about your resignation?" Major General answering: "I would very much like to think that the Army council is going to change its mind and if they did of course one would have to study one's position again. But a lot depends on what the regiment wishes to do, because at the moment, my resignation is in and a successor is being found. But if they asked me to go on under the existing conditions, supposing there is no change at all, then naturally I would be delighted to do so for a limited time."

One soldier speaking: "Well John, if I thought that they were going to take the kilt away from the regiment, I would never have joined up". SV. Then one soldier in the picture says: "I don't fancy wearing the trews, there is nothing to beat the look of the kilt." The other soldier says: "No, there's not. CU. General Urquhart being asked question (natural sound): "If the army council changes its mind about the kilt would you change your mind about your resignation?" Major General answering: "I would very much like to think that the Army council is going to change its mind and if they did of course one would have to study one's position again. But a lot depends on what the regiment wishes to do, because at the moment, my resignation is in and a successor is being found. But if they asked me to go on under the existing conditions, supposing there is no change at all, then naturally I would be delighted to do so for a limited time."
