Roger Cross (born October 19, 1969) is a Jamaican-born Canadianactor who has made numerous appearances in several movies and TV series, mostly on productions shot in Canada. He is best known for his work in America on 24 as CTU Agent Curtis Manning, and in Canada for his work on First Wave. From 2012-2015, Cross appeared in the Canadian series Continuum as a main character. He now currently appears as Staff Sergeant Boyd Bloom in the Canadian police procedural Motive, and as Six / Griffin Jones in the Syfy series Dark Matter.
Cross is best known for his role as CTU Agent Curtis Manning on the Fox television drama 24. His role began at the start of the show's fourth season in 2005 as a recurring character, later promoted to regular status. For the show's sixth season, the character reverted to recurring status.
As well as being a professional footballer he could have made a living as a first class cricketer having been on the books of Essex County Cricket Club.
Cross' association with West Ham began with his signing as an apprentice in July 1964. He was the reserve team top scorer in two consecutive seasons, but he failed to establish himself in the Hammers first team, and was loaned to Leyton Orient during the 1968-1969 season. In 1969, after 8 appearances and a single goal, he moved to Brentford for £12,000. Cross went on to play for Fulham, who signed him for £30,000, and he scored ten goals in 46 league and cup appearances for the west London club. He had a second spell at Griffin Park, and took his Bee's tally to 228 appearances and 79 goals. He then joined Millwall for £8,000. In 1977, Cross moved to the United States to play for the Seattle Sounders of the North American Soccer League.
